Lorraine Malloy
Lorraine Malloy (born 1965) is a Scottish international lawn bowler. Bowls career Malloy won two singles crowns at the Scottish National Bowls Championships in 2007 and 2009 while bowling for the Spring Grove Bowls Club. The latter success subsequently led her to winning the singles at the British Isles Bowls Championships in 2010. In 2008 she finished runner-up to Kathy Pearce in the World Singles Champion of Champions held in Aberdeen. Malloy has also represented Scotland at two Commonwealth Games, when she participated in the triples event at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and both the pairs and fours at the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Broxburn ( gd, Srath Bhroc, IPA: s̪ɾaˈvɾɔʰk is a town in West Lothian, Scotland, on the A89 road, from the West End of Edinburgh, from Edinburgh Airport and to the north of Livingston. Etymology The name Broxburn is a corruption of "brock's burn", brock being an old Scots name for a badger whether from the Gaelic ''broc'' or the Pictish/Welsh/Brythonic ''Broch'' and burn being a Scots word for a large stream or small river. Lawn bowls at the 2014 Commonwealth Games were held at the Kelvingrove Lawn Bowls Centre in Glasgow, Scotland from 24 July to 1 August 2014. Lawn bowls is one of ten core sports at the Commonwealth Games and has been continuously held at every Games since the 1930 British Empire Games, with the exception of the 1966 British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston, Jamaica. Claire Johnston (bowls)
Claire Johnston (born 22 February 1979) is a Scottish international lawn and indoor bowler. Bowls career Johnston is from Irvine, North Ayrshire, in Scotland and won a bronze medal in the pairs at the 2012 World Outdoor Bowls Championship with Margaret Letham. In 2011 she won the pairs gold medal and singles bronze medal at the Atlantic Bowls Championships and four years later she won the fours gold medal at the 2015 Atlantic Bowls Championships. Johnston gained major indoor honours when winning the mixed pairs title at the 2017 World Indoor Bowls Championship with Nick Brett of England. In 2018 she was selected as part of the Scottish team for the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast in Queensland where she won a bronze medal in the Pairs with Lesley Doig. Stacey McDougall (born 10 April 1990) is a Scottish international lawn and Indoor bowler. Profile McDougall lives in Woodburn, Dalkeith and plays for the Dalkeith BC (Outdoor) and Midlothian BC (Indoor). She started bowling in 1999 and works for the Royal Bank of Scotland.
