Lorraine Botha
Lorraine Juliette Botha (2 July 1965 – 31 August 2022) was a South African politician. A member of the Democratic Alliance, she was a Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament from 2014 up to her death. Botha served as the chief whip of the DA caucus from May 2022 until her death in August 2022. She was the chairperson of the Standing Committee on Education from 2019 until 2022. 2014 Western Cape Provincial Election
A provincial election was held in the Western Cape on 7 May 2014 to elect a new provincial parliament. It was the fifth provincial election held since the end of the apartheid era, and also the first held since the death of Nelson Mandela. Although not constitutionally required, the election was held simultaneously with elections to the National Assembly. The Western Cape Provincial Parliament (WCPP) is the legislature of the Western Cape province of South Africa. It is located at 7 Wale Street in Cape Town. 2019 Western Cape Provincial Election
The 2019 Western Cape provincial election was held on 8 May 2019 to elect the 6th Western Cape Provincial Parliament. It was the sixth provincial election held since the establishment of the provincial legislature in 1994. Incumbent Premier Helen Zille of the Democratic Alliance (DA) was term-limited and could not seek re-election to a third term. The party nominated Alan Winde to succeed her. The provincial election was won by the ruling Democratic Alliance (DA), but with a reduced majority of 55.45%, down from 59.38% in the 2014 election. Mireille Mary Wenger (born 1980 or 1981) is a South African politician who has been the Western Cape Provincial Minister of Finance and Economic Opportunities since May 2022 and a Democratic Alliance (DA) Member of the Western Cape Provincial Parliament since May 2014. She was Chief Whip of the Majority Party from May 2019 to May 2022. Heart Attack
A myocardial infarction (MI), commonly known as a heart attack, occurs when blood flow decreases or stops to the coronary artery of the heart, causing damage to the heart muscle. The most common symptom is chest pain or discomfort which may travel into the shoulder, arm, back, neck or jaw.
