Loris Reggiani
Loris Reggiani (born 7 October 1959 in Forlì) is an Italian former Grand Prix motorcycle road racer who competed for the Aprilia factory racing team. His best years were in 1981, when he won two races in the 125 class, finishing the season in second place behind Angel Nieto, and in 1992 in the 250 class, when he again won two races and finishing in second place again, this time to Luca Cadalora. Reggiani was the first rider to win a Grand Prix for the Aprilia factory when he won the 1987 San Marino Grand Prix. In 1994, Reggiani moved up to the 500cc class aboard a new bike from Aprilia with a V-twin, 250cc engine that had been enlarged to 380cc in hopes of taking advantage of the bike's lightweight and agility against their more powerful competition. 1992 Japanese Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 1992 Japanese motorcycle Grand Prix was the first round of the 1992 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It took place on the weekend of 27–29 March 1992 at the Suzuka Circuit. 500 cc race report Wet race. Wayne Rainey had to ride with an injured hand from a pre-season test (part of his pinky was removed). John Kocinski was on pole, and took the lead at the start from Doug Chandler and Mick Doohan. Rainey had a bad start. Àlex Crivillé crashed out of his debut 500cc race; Wayne Gardner crashes out, as did Rainey at the Dunlop Corner. Chandler took the lead of a 4-man group with Schwantz, Doohan and Kocinski. Kocinski crashed out. Doohan and Chandler dropped Schwantz. 1987 Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing Season
The 1987 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season was the 39th F.I.M. Road Racing World Championship season. Season summary Wayne Gardner became Australia's first-ever 500cc World Champion in a season that saw him score points in every Grand Prix. Randy Mamola would finish second yet again, one point ahead of Eddie Lawson despite Lawson's five victories. The first Japanese Grand Prix in 20 years was held at the Suzuka Circuit. Along with rounds in Brazil and Argentina, the championship was becoming a real world championship. Venezuelan Carlos Lavado's defense of his 250 crown was spoiled by injuries sustained in a pre-season crash. Anton Mang stepped up to claim his fifth world championship ahead of four other Hondas. 1980 Belgian Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 1980 Belgian motorcycle Grand Prix was the sixth round of the 1980 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It took place on the weekend of 4–6 July 1980 at the Circuit Zolder. This was the only time that a race was held in Zolder, after all the factory teams (with drivers such as Kenny Roberts, Franco Uncini, Graziano Rossi, Jack Middelburg and various others) retired due to the slippery and very dangerous conditions at Spa-Francorchamps after a resurfacing of the track. The Spanish motorcycle Grand Prix is a motorcycling event that is part of the FIM Grand Prix motorcycle racing season that takes place at Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto outside Jerez de la Frontera in Andalucia. Minarelli is an Italian motorcycle engine manufacturer. It is part of the Fantic Motor group. History Minarelli was founded in Bologna in 1951 as a motorcycle manufacturer.
