Lorenzo Rota
Lorenzo Rota (born 23 May 1995) is an Italian racing cyclist, who rides for UCI WorldTeam . Career He rode at the 2014 UCI Road World Championships, and was named in the start list for the 2017 Giro d'Italia. Intermarché–Wanty–Gobert Matériaux (2021–present) In August 2020, it was announced that Rota would be joining the team on an initial one-year contract for the 2021 season. In his first season at World Tour level, Rota took seven top-ten finishes in one-day races, with a best finish of fourth place at the Clásica de San Sebastián and the Giro della Toscana. In October 2021, it was announced that Rota had extended his contract with the team for a further two years. The 2021 Tour de France was the 108th edition of the Tour de France, one of cycling's three grand tours. Originally planned for the Danish capital of Copenhagen, the start of the 2021 Tour (known as the ) was transferred to Brest because of the COVID-19 pandemic, with Copenhagen hosting four matches in the UEFA Euro 2020, which had also been rescheduled to 2021 because of the pandemic. Originally scheduled for 2 to 25 July 2021, the Tour was moved to 26 June to 18 July 2021 to avoid the rescheduled 2020 Summer Olympics. The 2021 Tre Valli Varesine was the 100th edition of the Tre Valli Varesine road cycling one day race, which was held in the Lombardy region of northwestern Italy on 5 October 2021. This edition was the race's first in the UCI ProSeries; the 2020 edition was expected to feature in the inaugural UCI ProSeries but was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
