Lorenzo Mata
Lorenzo Mata-Real (born February 27, 1986) is an American professional basketball player in Mexico's Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP). He was the center for the UCLA Bruins men's basketball team from 2004–05 until 2007–08, and was an important part of their final four runs in 2006, 2007, and 2008. Born in the United States, Mata has also played for the Mexico national team. High school Mata averaged 25.0 points and 15.0 rebounds in his senior season. He led the South Gate Rams to an 18–8 overall record, an unbeaten Eastern League mark and one playoff victory. In the L.A. City Sectional quarterfinal game, future UCLA teammate Josh Shipp's Fairfax High School team defeated South Gate 89–85. The center (C), or the centre, also known as the five or the pivot, is one of the five Basketball position, positions in a regulation basketball game. The center is normally the tallest player on the team, and often has a great deal of strength and body mass as well. In the NBA, the center is typically close to tall. Josh Shipp (basketball)
Joshua Ian Shipp (born February 14, 1986) is an American former professional basketball player who last played for Brose Baskets of the Basketball Bundesliga. Shipp played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins. He has played professionally in Turkey and Germany. High school Under coach Harvey Kitani, Shipp led the Fairfax Lions to the California Division I state title. As a junior, he helped lead his team to the City finals and received All-State underclassman and All-City second-team honors. College As a freshman at the University of California, Los Angeles, Shipp started 23 games for the Bruins and was named Honorable Mention All- Pac-10 Freshman. He averaged 9.3 points and 5.2 rebounds. Shipp underwent surgery on his right hip on September 28, 2005, and missed the first 11 games. The Baloncesto Superior Nacional, abbreviated as BSN, is the first-tier-level professional men's basketball list of basketball leagues, league in Puerto Rico. It was founded in 1929 and is organized by the Puerto Rican Basketball Federation. Arron Agustin Afflalo (born October 15, 1985) is an American former professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins. As a junior, he was named a consensus All-American and was voted the player of the year in the Pac-12 Conference. After forgoing his senior year in college, Afflalo was selected in the first round of the 2007 NBA draft by the Detroit Pistons with the 27th overall pick.
