Lorenzo Massa
Lorenzo Bartolomé Massa (November 11, 1882 – October 31, 1949) was an Argentine Catholic priest. He was one of the main founders of Club San Lorenzo de Almagro and scout group Don Bosco's Argentinian Explorers. Early years Lorenzo Bartolomé Massa was born in Morón, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and his parents Lorenzo Massa and his mother Margarita Scanavino were born in Turin, Italy. His sisters were Ángela and Blanca, and were also religious. On February 13, 1898, he was ordained to the priesthood by Joseph Vespignani. In 1900, Massa took his first job as a Salesian of Don Bosco Agricultural School in Uribelarrea until October 1902. Then Massa continued at the College Pius IX as a teacher and assistant in theology. Tucumán () is the most densely populated, and the second-smallest by land area, of the provinces of Argentina. The Regiment of Mounted Grenadiers ( es, Regimiento de Granaderos a Caballo) is the name of two Argentine Army regiments of two different time periods: a historic regiment that operated from 1812 to 1826, and a modern cavalry unit that was organized in 1903. The first Regiment of Mounted Grenadiers, formed in 1812, fought in the Argentine War of Independence under José de San Martín, and the Cisplatine War, subsequently becoming the Presidential bodyguard in 1825. Refusing to replenish its membership with soldiers who had not fought in the Argentine War of Independence, the regiment disbanded in 1826.
