Lorenzo Buelna
Lorenzo Guillermo Buelna Lara (born January 24, 1980) is a former Mexican baseball player. Early life Buelna Lara was born in Ciudad Obregón, Mexico. Career He was signed by the Anaheim Angels as an undrafted free agent on January 12, 1999, and played for the DSL Angels that year, hitting .270 with 2 HR and 36 RBI. He played for the Butte Copper Kings in 2000 and hit .262, while stealing 17 bases in 23 tries. He has not played professional baseball in the United States since, instead playing in the Mexican League. In 2001 Buelna batted .246 with 0 HR and 21 RBI his first season with the Pericos de Puebla, with whom he would remain until 2009. In 2002, he hit .290 with 1 HR and 33 RBI. In 2003, he hit .346 and was sixth in the Mexican League in batting average. He made the league All-Star team in the outfield along with Roberto Mendez and Luis García. He hit .303 in 2004. Outfielder
An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. As an outfielder, their duty is to catch fly balls and ground balls then to return them to the infield for the out or before the runner advances, if there are any runners on the bases. As an outfielder, they normally play behind the six players located in the field. By convention, each of the nine defensive positions in baseball is numbered. The outfield positions are 7 (left field), 8 (center field) and 9 (right field). These numbers are shorthand designations useful in baseball scorekeeping and are not necessarily the same as the squad numbers worn on player uniforms. The 2007 Baseball World Cup (BWC) was the 37th international Men's amateur baseball tournament. The tournament was sanctioned by the International Baseball Federation, which titled it the Amateur World Series from the 1938 tournament through the 1986 AWS. The tournament was held, for the second time, in Taiwan (which played as Chinese Taipei), from November 6 to 18. The United States defeated Cuba in the final, winning its third title. The Mexican Pacific League (), known as Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacífico for sponsorship reasons or simply LMP for its acronym in Spanish, is a professional baseball winter league based in Northern Mexico. The ten-team regular season schedule runs from October to December and is followed by a playoff series in January to determine the league champion. The Yaquis de Obregón ( en, Obregón Yaquis) are a professional baseball team in the Mexican Pacific League based in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora. The “Yaquis” are the only team in league history to have won three consecutive league championships, achieving this feat in the 2010–11, 2011–12 and 2012–13 seasons. In baseball, the batting order or batting lineup is the sequence in which the members of the offense take their turns in batting against the pitcher. The batting order is the main component of a team's offensive strategy. In Major League Baseball, the batting order is set by the manager, who before the game begins must present the home plate umpire with two copies of his team's lineup card, a card on which a team's starting batting order is recorded. The home plate umpire keeps one copy of the lineup card of each team, and gives the second copy to the opposing manager. Luis Carlos García (born September 22, 1975 in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico) is a Mexican former Major League Baseball outfielder who played with the Baltimore Orioles in 2002.
