Lorine Zineb Nora Talhaoui, known professionally as Loreen (; ar, لورين زينب نورا طلحاوي; born 16 October 1983) is a Swedish multi-genre singer, songwriter and record producer. Representing Sweden, she won the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, with her entry "Euphoria". The song reached number one in many European countries, including Germany and Sweden. Interested in becoming a musician, Loreen took part in the ''Idol 2004'' television competition, finishing fourth. The following year she released her first single, "The Snake", with the band Rob'n'Raz and became a television presenter on TV400. While working as a segment producer and director for several Swedish reality TV shows, she entered Melodifestivalen 2011 with the song "My Heart Is Refusing Me", which became a Top 10 hit in Sweden. Loreen Rice Lucas (December 24, 1914 – January 29, 2011) was a Canadian writer. Biography Loreen Rice Lucas was born and raised in Midland, Ontario, and resided in Hawkestone until her death on January 29, 2011. At the age of 80, she learned to use a computer and subsequently wrote and illustrated ''Outhouses & Apple Pie''. Her first book was based upon recollections from her life. She survived the 1918 flu, falling through the ice on Little Lake, the Great Depression, Hurricane Hazel and the fire that took the family livelihood. She raised eight children and cared for her elderly parents in the family home. She was one of the first women in Ontario to have her Real Estate broker's license and her insurance agent's license. During her life, she was involved in many voluntary projects including contributions to 'Kith and Kin' as part of the Oro Historical Society and worked tirelessly with others to make sure swimming lessons were available to the children of Oro. "Loreen" is a 1986 pop song by German singer Sandra. It was written by Frank Peterson, Michael Cretu and Klaus Hirschburger, and produced by Cretu and Armand Volker. The song was released in November 1986 as the third single from Sandra's second album ''Mirrors''. The contents of the 7" and the 12" single are identical, with "Loreen" being the only Sandra single from the 1980s or 1990s to lack an extended version. The song was a moderate success in Germany and Switzerland. The music video for the song was directed by Kai von Kotze. The clip was included on Sandra's VHS video compilations ''Ten on One (The Singles)'' and ''18 Greatest Hits'', released in 1987 and 1992, respectively, as well as the 2003 DVD ''The Complete History''.
