''Lords of Sounds and Lesser Things'' is a 2005 EP released independently by the American alternative rock band Veruca Salt and self-distributed through their Velveteen Records label. The EP features five new songs and a recording of Richard Patrick of Filter repeatedly yelling "I got my pants on!" Two of the songs (''Save You'' and ''The Sun'') were re-recorded for the band's fourth full-length record, '' IV''. The EP was originally available only directly from the band on tour or via their website however it can now be found on most major online distributors. Veruca Salt
Veruca Salt is an American alternative rock band founded in Chicago, Illinois, in 1992 by vocalist-guitarists Nina Gordon and Louise Post, drummer Jim Shapiro and bassist Steve Lack. They are best known for their first single, " Seether", that was released on the 1994 album ''American Thighs''. They followed up that success with 1997's ''Eight Arms to Hold You''. By 1998, Post was the only original member still in the band and continued on with other musicians. Veruca Salt released the album '' Resolver'' in 2000 and the album '' IV'' in 2006. After a hiatus in 2012, the band reformed with its original lineup. Their fifth studio album, ''Ghost Notes'', was released in 2015. ''Officially Dead'' is an EP by the American alternative rock band Veruca Salt, released in 2003 on Embryo. The single was released in Australia and peaked at #13 on the Triple J top 100 The first pressing of the EP contained many errors. For instance, track #3 is mislabeled; it's actually a demo version of the previously unreleased song "Blissful Queen", rather than the listed "Smoke & Mirrors" demo; for the second pressing, the error was corrected & the 3rd track was the correct "Smoke & Mirrors" demo. Louise Post's friend Summer was not credited for the tattoo on the cover until the second pressing. Also, for the second pressing, a lighter artwork color scheme was used. ''IV'' is the fourth full-length studio album by alternative rock band Veruca Salt. It was released on September 12, 2006 in the United States and on September 25, 2006 in Australia. This is the last album to feature Stephen Fitzpatrick on guitars and the only album to feature Kellii Scott on drums and Nicole Fiorentino on bass. Velveteen Records
Velveteen (or velveret) is a type of cloth made to imitate velvet, which is a type of pile fabric. Normally cotton, the term is sometimes applied to a mixture of silk and cotton. Some velveteens are a kind of fustian, having a rib of velvet pile alternating with a plain depression. This fabric has a pile that is short (never more than 3 mm deep) and is closely set. It has a firm hand and a slightly sloping pile. Compared to true velvet, velveteen has greater body, does not drape as easily, and has less sheen. Richard Patrick
Richard Michael Patrick (born May 10, 1968) is an American musician, singer and songwriter. He is the frontman for the rock band Filter and a founding member of the supergroups Army of Anyone and The Damning Well, and has served as a touring guitarist for Nine Inch Nails. He is the younger brother of actor Robert Patrick. Career Nine Inch Nails After a chance meeting with Trent Reznor in a Cleveland music store, Patrick landed a gig as touring guitarist in Reznor's live incarnation of Nine Inch Nails from 1989 to 1993. His only recorded contribution can be heard at the end of "Sanctified" on ''Pretty Hate Machine''. Filter is an American rock music, rock band formed in 1993 in Cleveland, Ohio, by singer Richard Patrick and guitarist and programmer Brian Liesegang. The band was formed when Patrick desired to start his own band after leaving Nine Inch Nails as their touring guitarist. Their debut album ''Short Bus (album), Short Bus'' was released in 1995 and ended up going platinum, largely due to the success of the single "Hey Man Nice Shot". After the album, the band would go through the first of many lineup changes, leaving Patrick as the only consistent member across all releases. After Liesegang's departure in 1997, Patrick recorded a follow up album with the ''Short Bus'' Title of Record#Personnel, touring band members, who became full-time members thereafter. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family.
