John Morris, Baron Morris of Aberavon, (born 5 November 1931) is a British politician. He was a Labour Party (UK), Labour Party Member of Parliament for over 41 years, from 1959 to 2001, which included a period as Secretary of State for Wales from 1974 to 1979 and as Attorney General for England and Wales, Attorney General between 1997 and 1999. He is the only living former Labour MP who was first elected in the 1950s. He is also the last surviving member of Harold Wilson's 1974–76 cabinet, and is the current List of longest-serving current Privy Counsellors, longest-serving Privy Council of the United Kingdom, Privy Counsellor. George Samuel Lindgren, Baron Lindgren, JP, DL (11 November 1900 – 8 September 1971) was a British Labour Party politician. Born in Islington, London, at the 1935 general election he was an unsuccessful candidate in the safe Conservative seat of Hitchin in Hertfordshire, coming a distant second with 36.7% of the votes. Robert Alexander Lindsay, 29th Earl of Crawford and 12th Earl of Balcarres, (born 5 March 1927), styled Lord Balniel between 1940 and 1975, is a Scottish hereditary peer and Conservative politician who was a Member of Parliament from 1955 to 1974. The elder son of the 28th Earl of Crawford and 11th Earl of Balcarres, he succeeded to the family titles in 1975. Lord Crawford and Balcarres is the Premier Earl of Scotland and Chief of Clan Lindsay. Peter John Mitchell Thomas, Baron Thomas of Gwydir, (31 July 1920 – 4 February 2008) was a British Conservative politician. He was the first Welshman to become Chairman of the Conservative Party, serving from 1970 to 1972, and the first Conservative to serve as Secretary of State for Wales, holding that office from 1970 to 1974. Trevor Alec Jones (12 August 1924 – 20 March 1983) was a British Labour Party politician. Jones was born in Clydach Vale and educated at Rhondda Boys' Grammar School. After obtaining a teaching qualification at Bangor Normal College, he taught from 1947 until 1967, when the death of the local MP, Iorwerth Thomas, whose political agent Jones had been, created a vacancy which resulted in his own selection.
