Loona Discography
The discography of South Korean girl group Loona consists of one reissue, five extended plays (EPs), and twelve single albums. From October 2016 to March 2018, the group's label, Blockberry Creative, released individual single albums for each Loona member as part of an 18-month pre-debut project. The pre-debut project eventually culminated in the release of " Favorite" on August 7, 2018, marking the group's first 12-member release. The single later appeared on '' + + ', which was released on August 20 with the single, " Hi High". The EP peaked at number two on South Korea's Gaon Album Chart and was later reissued as '' X' on February 19, 2019, with the lead single " Butterfly". The reissue reached number four on the Gaon Album Chart, while the single marked Loona's first appearance on one of Gaon's singles charts, reaching number 90 on the Download Chart. Loona
Loona (commonly stylized in all caps or as LOOΠΔ; ; ja, 今月の少女, Kongetsu no Shōjo, Girl of the Month) is a South Korean girl group formed by Blockberry Creative. The group was introduced to the public through a pre-debut project that began in October 2016, where each of the 12 members was revealed in a periodic fashion by releasing a promotional single over the following 18 months. They debuted as a full ensemble with the extended play, ''+ +, [+ +]'' (2018), supported by the lead single "Favorite (Loona song), Favorite" and the title track "Hi High". In November 2022, Chuu was removed from the line-up. Name Loona's English name is derived from the Hangul letters ㅇㄷㅇㅅㄴ, each an Hangul#Letter placement within a block, initial consonant in the Syllable, syllabic blocks that make (''Idarui Sonyeo''). Oricon Singles Chart
The Oricon Singles Chart is the Japanese music industry-standard singles popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Chart rankings are based on physical singles' sales. Until 2017, Oricon did not track download sales. In Japan, physical sales decreased sharply in the 2000s, while download sales hit three to four times the amount of single sales. In November 2017, Oricon introduced its first digital songs chart, separate from its main physical singles chart. In November 2018, Oricon launched a streaming chart, and introduced a combined singles chart that utilizes physical single sales, downloads, and streams. Original Confidence Inc., the original Oricon company, was founded by the former Snow Brand Milk Products promoter Sōkō Koike in 1967. World Albums
The ''Billboard'' charts tabulate the relative weekly popularity of songs and albums in the United States and elsewhere. The results are published in ''Billboard'' magazine. ''Billboard'' biz, the online extension of the ''Billboard'' charts, provides additional weekly charts, as well as year-end charts. The two most important charts are the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 for songs and ''Billboard'' 200 for albums, and other charts may be dedicated to a specific genre such as R&B, country, or rock, or they may cover all genres. The Independent Albums chart (previously titled Top Independent Albums) ranks the highest-selling independent music albums and extended plays (EPs) in the United States, as compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine. It is used to list artists who are not signed to major labels. Rankings are compiled by point-of-purchase sales obtained by Nielsen, and from legal music downloads from a variety of online music stores. The chart began in the week of February 5, 2000. The top 25 positions are published through the ''Billboard'' website, with further chart positions available through a paid subscription to Billboard.biz. Top Heatseekers are "Breaking and Entering" music charts issued weekly by ''Billboard'' magazine. The Heatseekers Albums and the Heatseekers Songs charts were introduced by ''Billboard'' in 1991 with the purpose of highlighting the sales by new and developing musical recording artists. Albums and songs appearing on Top Heatseekers may also concurrently appear on the ''Billboard'' 200 or ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Albums chart The Heatseekers Albums chart contains 25 positions that are ranked by Nielsen SoundScan sales data, and charts album titles from "new or developing acts" as determined by the acts' historical chart performance. The ''Billboard'' 200 is a record chart ranking the 200 most popular music albums and EPs in the United States. It is published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine and is frequently used to convey the popularity of an artist or groups of artists. Often, a recording act will be remembered by its " number ones", those of their albums that outperformed all others during at least one week. The chart grew from a weekly top 10 list in 1956 to become a top 200 list in May 1967, and acquired its current name in March 1992. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. In the United Kingdom, its charts include ones for singles, albums and films, with the data compiled from a mixture of downloads, purchases (of physical media) and streaming. The OCC produces its charts by gathering and combining sales data from retailers through market researchers Kantar, and claims to cover 99% of the singles market and 95% of the album market, and aims to collect data from any retailer who sells more than 100 chart items per week. The UK Album Downloads Chart is compiled by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on behalf of the music industry. Since July 2015, the chart week runs from Friday to Thursday, with the chart date given as the following Thursday. The chart was introduced in April 2006 to coincide with the OCC's decision to include sales of album downloads in the UK Albums Chart. The first album to top the download chart was ''This New Day'' by Embrace. The chart is published in ''Music Week'', ''UKChartsPlus'' and on the OCC's official website, with the former featuring the Top 75 downloads and the top 100 in the latter two. The chart exists since 23 October 2000 and is provided by Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry, ZPAV. This is a chart of best selling music albums in the Polish media market, involving 50 matches. This overview is based on data from 233 points of sale: 227 stores of the largest retail chains in Poland: Empik (121 stores), Real (hypermarket), Real (53 stores), Media Markt (38 stores) and Saturn (store), Saturn (15 stores), two of the largest Polish internet stores: Merlin.pl, Rockserwis.pl and 4 retail stores. Polish Society Of The Phonographic Industry
The Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry ( pl, Związek Producentów Audio-Video, ZPAV) is the trade organization that represents the interests of the music industry in Poland, and the Polish chapter of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). Founded in 1991, it is authorized by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage to act as a copyright collective in the field of phonogram and videogram producers' rights.
