Arkansas Highway 171
Highway 171 (AR 171, Ark. 171, and Hwy. 171) is a designation for three state highways in Southwest Arkansas. One route of runs from US Highway 67 (US 67) to Wine Dot Road near an industrial facility. A second route of begins at Highway 84 in Malvern and runs east to Lake Catherine State Park. A third route of begins at US Highway 270 (US 270) and runs north, with state maintenance ending at Tigre Mountain Road. Fountain Lake High School
Fountain Lake High School is a high school in unincorporated Garland County, Arkansas, with a Hot Springs postal address. It is the only high school in the Fountain Lake School District, which also includes a middle school and elementary school on the same site. It was founded in 1933 with only four students in its graduating class. Since 1975, the mascot has been the cobra. Benton High School is a public high school located in Benton, Saline County, Arkansas. Benton High School is a member of the Benton School District. History In 1885, a public referendum established the Benton School District within the county-wide system. In Saline County in 1889, there were about 4,700 students, 62 teachers, and 50 public schools. In addition, there were several private schools in the county. After 1900, smaller neighboring school districts were consolidated with the Benton District, making it possible to have a larger and better teaching force, improved equipment, and longer terms. However, it was not until the 1920s that children were required to attend school. Starting in 1928, rural children that did not have access to high school courses were allowed to transfer to Benton High and were not charged tuition. Benton is a city in and the county seat of Saline County, Arkansas, United States and a suburb of Little Rock. It was established in 1837. At the 2010 census, the city had a population of 30,681.
