Lonnie Ortega
Lonnie Ortega (born October 3, 1946, in California) is an American artist specializing in aviation art. Background Lonnie Ortega was born in Southern California and is one of six children. He graduated from Western High School in Anaheim, California in 1964 and continued on to Cerritos Junior College in Cerritos, California to study art. In 1966, Lonnie enrolled at Cypress Junior College in Cypress, California to play baseball. During his time at Cypress Junior College, he was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals. In 1967, he was offered a full athletic scholarship to play baseball at Chapman College in Orange, California. However, in the summer of 1968, Lonnie's baseball playing days ended with a serious knee injury. Career The injury turned out to be a blessing in disguise - with his baseball dreams shattered, Lonnie chose to concentrate on his art. An artist is a person engaged in an activity related to creating art, practicing the arts, or demonstrating an art. Reno Air Races
The Reno Air Races, officially known as the STIHL National Championship Air Races from 2016, is a multi-day event tailored to the aviation community that takes place each September at the Reno Stead Airport a few miles north of Reno, Nevada. Air racing is billed as "the world's fastest motor sport" and Reno is one of the few remaining venues. The event includes races in six classes and demonstrations by airshow pilots. EAA AirVenture Oshkosh (formerly the EAA Annual Convention and Fly-In), or just Oshkosh, is an annual air show and gathering of aviation enthusiasts held each summer at Wittman Regional Airport and adjacent Pioneer Airport in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, United States. Gillespie Field is a county-owned public towered airport northeast of downtown San Diego, in El Cajon, San Diego County, California, United States. History : ''Section reference dates.'' Mentorship is the influence, guidance, or direction given by a mentor. A mentor is someone who teaches or gives help and advice to a less experienced and often younger person. Parkinson's Disease
Parkinson's disease (PD), or simply Parkinson's, is a long-term degenerative disorder of the central nervous system that mainly affects the motor system. The symptoms usually emerge slowly, and as the disease worsens, non-motor symptoms become more common. The most obvious early symptoms are tremor, rigidity, slowness of movement, and difficulty with walking. Cognitive and behavioral problems may also occur with depression, anxiety, and apathy occurring in many people with PD. Parkinson's disease dementia becomes common in the advanced stages of the disease. Those with Parkinson's can also have problems with their sleep and sensory systems. The motor symptoms of the disease result from the death of cells in the substantia nigra, a region of the midbrain, leading to a dopamine deficit.
