Renshou County () is a county in Meishan City, Sichuan Province of China. It is located in Middle-West of Sichuan Basin. It has an area of , and population of 154,040,000. Founded in the Qin dynasty. Its name may derive from the first Sui Dynasty emperor's palace located in Shaanxi province, Renshou palace. ''Astragalus'' is a large genus of over 3,000 species of herbs and small shrubs, belonging to the legume family Fabaceae and the subfamily Faboideae. Townships (), formally township-level divisions (), are the basic level (fourth-level administrative units) of political divisions in China. They are similar to municipalities and communes in other countries and in turn may contain village committees and villages. In 1995 there were 29,502 townships and 17,532 towns (a total of 47,034 township-level divisions) in China.
