Longshan Temple (Bangka Commercial Zone) (), formerly transliterated as Lungshan Temple Station until 2003, is a metro station in Taipei, Taiwan served by Taipei Metro. The station is named for the nearby Lungshan Temple. Station overview The two-level, underground station structure with an island platform and three exits. The washrooms are located inside the entrance area. The station is located underneath Heping West Rd., between the intersections with Xiyuan Rd. and Kangding Rd. Taipei Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), branded as Metro Taipei, is a rapid transit system serving the areas of Taipei and New Taipei City, New Taipei in Taiwan, operated by the State-owned enterprise, government-owned Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation, which also operates the Maokong Gondola. Ximen (, formerly transliterated as Hsimen Station until 2003) is a metro station in Taipei, Taiwan served by Taipei Metro. The station is named after the former west gate of the city, whose location is roughly where the current station is located. Station overview The station is a three-level, underground structure with two island platforms and six exits, allowing possible connections to the shopping areas and the Diary of Ximen hotel. The two platforms are stacked, thus allowing for cross-platform interchange between the Green Line and the Blue Line. Restrooms are inside the entrance area. Tangbu Cultural Park
The Tangbu Cultural Park () is a cultural center in Wanhua District, Taipei, Taiwan, transformed from a former sugar refinery. History The cultural center was originally constructed as Taipei Sugar Refinery during the Japanese rule of Taiwan and run from 1911 to 1942. After the handover of Taiwan from Japan to the Republic of China in 1945, the factory was taken over by Taiwan Sugar Corporation. The building was declared the 106th historical site of Taipei in 2003. Architecture The cultural center spans over an area of one hectare. It consists of three warehouses, which house permanent exhibition, Tangbu Cultural Warehouse and troupe residence. The Huannan Market ( zh, t=環南綜合市場, s=环南综合市场, first=t, p=Huánnán Zònghé Shìchǎng) is a marketplace in Wanhua District, Taipei, Taiwan. History The discussion on the construction of the new building of Huannan Market started in 1999 to rebuild the old market building on the site. In 2008, the Taipei City Government had briefing sessions with the market vendors to inform on the reconstruction planning of the market. The construction of the new market building started on 6 November 2016 in a ceremony preceded by Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je with a cost of NT$5.5 billion. After the completion of the first phase of the construction, the market was opened under trial operation on 12 February 2020. The market was finally fully opened on 25 July 2020. Bangka Park
The Bangka Park (also Mangka Park, Mengjia Park and Mengxia Park) () is a park in Wanhua District, Taipei, Taiwan. Name Mangka Park (from Taiwanese Hokkien) or Mengjia Park (from Mandarin) is a transliteration of the word ''moungar'', a Taiwanese aborigines word for canoe or gathering place for canoe. It is used to be known as Park No. 12. History In 1738, the Lungshan Temple of Manka was constructed. In 1923, the land area in front of the temple was forested and named Mengxia Park. In 1956, Taipei Mayor Kao Yu-shu () gave permission for street vendors to set up their stalls at the park. Since then, the park became the gathering place for the vendors and homeless people, which resulted a bad and dirty environment around the park. Jiangzicui (, formerly transliterated as Chiangtzu Tsui Station until 2003) is a metro station in New Taipei, Taiwan served by Taipei Metro. Station overview This two-level, underground station has an island platform and six exits. It is located at the intersection of Wenhua Road and Shuangshi Road. The station is not in the same location as the Japanese era station (Gangzui Station), which was located at the intersection of Xianmin Boulevard and Sanmin Road and has since been demolished. Far Eastern Hospital Metro Station
Far Eastern Hospital () is a metro station in Taipei, Taiwan served by Taipei Metro. Station layout The two-level underground station makes use of island platforms and has three exits. The station is 243 meters long and 20.5 meters wide. Blue line trains from Kunyang or Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center terminate here during non-rush hours. Design The entrance to the station was designed as an arch bridge (from "qiao" in Banqiao, meaning "bridge"). It is also meant to represent a "cloud wall", a characteristic of traditional Chinese gardening; the station is located next to Yuanzhi Memorial Garden. Public art in the station consists of a piece titled "River Romance", which combined LED lamps with glass sticks to create a color-changing "river of time". Dingpu Metro Station
Dingpu station is a subway station of Taipei Metro. This station is a 2 km extension to and the western terminus of the Bannan line. Dingpu station is located in Tucheng District, New Taipei City. Construction began in January 2010 and commercial service was scheduled to begin in 2013. Commercial service was scheduled to begin in 2014, but was pushed back to 6 July 2015. Island Platform
An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. Island platforms are popular on twin-track routes due to pragmatic and cost reasons. They are also useful within larger stations where local and express services for the same direction of travel can be provided from opposite sides of the same platform thereby simplifying transfers between the two tracks. An alternative arrangement is to position side platforms on either side of the tracks. The historical use of island platforms depends greatly upon the location. The Taipei Metro Kunyang station is a station on the Bannan line located in Nangang District, Taipei, Taiwan. Station overview The two-level, underground station and has one island platform and four exits. It is located beneath Zhongxiao East Rd. Public art for the station is titled "Around" and is composed of carousel horses that dance to music whenever the viewer comes near. They are located along the glass windows of the concourse level.
