Longjing Tea
Longjing tea (; Standard Chinese pronunciation ), sometimes called by its literal translated name Dragon Well tea, is a variety of pan-roasted green tea from the area of Longjing Village in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. It is produced mostly by hand and renowned for its high quality, earning it the China Famous Tea title. Nutritional information Longjing tea contains vitamin C, amino acids, and, like most finer Chinese green teas, has high concentrations of catechins. Environmental requirements for growth Water The overall water content of tea plants is 55%–60%, but the water content of new shoots is as high as 70%–80%. In the tea picking process, the continuous regrowth of new shoots therefore needs a constant supply of water. Therefore, Longjing tea trees need more water than ordinary trees. Wushan County, Chongqing
Wushan County () is a county located in Chongqing municipality. It occupies roughly and has a population of about 600,000. The county seat is located at the western entrance to the Wu Gorge in the Three Gorges region. Wushan is famous for its Little Three Gorges () located on the nearby Daning River. The Wushan county seat is on the northern bank of the Yangtze River channel, which in the Gorges region was flooded after the construction of the Three Gorges Dam. The original town was abandoned and submerged under the rising waters, and the new town constructed on the hills above. Longjing District () is a coastal suburban district in western Taichung, Taiwan. Geography Longjing shares borders with Wuqi and Shalu to the north, Xitun to the east, the Pacific Ocean to the west, Dadu and Shengang in Changhua County to the south. The eastern part of Longjing is located on the Dadu Plateau. Name and history The area was originally occupied by the aboriginal Papora people. The term ''Longjing'' (龍井) means "Dragon Well"; a well is located in the area. Prior to Japanese rule, the district was called "Chie Tou Village" (茄投庄).
