Long Zhiyi
Long Zhiyi (; 1929 – 31 December 2021) was a Chinese novelist and politician of Yi people, Yi ethnicity who served as chairman of the Guizhou Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference between 1993 and 1998. He was a representative of the 13th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, 13th, 14th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, 14th and 15th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party. He was a member of the 9th and 8th National Committees of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. He was a delegate to the 10th National People's Congress. Early life and career Long was born in Tuanjie Township of Yongshan County, Yunnan, in 1929. He graduated from Yunnan University. He took part in the communist revolution in 1949. Ye Xiaowen
Ye Xiaowen (; born August 1950) is a Chinese politician who held various top posts relating to state regulation of religion in China from 1995 to 2009. In 1995, Ye became the director of the Bureau of Religious Affairs under the State Council. At the beginning of his work in the Bureau, he held a view to minimize the influence of religion in the socialist China. There, he worked to prevent religious unrest, select the 11th Panchen Lama, and ban the controversial Falun Gong group. In 1998, the Bureau of Religious Affairs was renamed the State Administration for Religious Affairs, while Ye Xiaowen remained its director. He acknowledged presiding over religions in China, and changed policy to say that religion has a place in society, although he persecuted groups that he thought brought foreign control to Chinese churches, like the Roman Catholic Church. China Writers Association or Chinese Writers Association (CWA, ) is a subordinate people's organization of the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC). Founded in July 1949, the organization was initially named the China National Literature Workers Association. In September 1953, it was renamed the China Writers Association. The association's leadership was purged shortly after the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests and massacre. In April 2012, the organization changed its translated name to China Writers Association.
