Long John (bull)
Long John #58x (2010 – February 21, 2017) was an American bucking bull. He competed in the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) and Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) circuits. He was the PBR World Champion Bull in 2015. He tied for the title in 2016 with two other bulls ( Bruiser and Pearl Harbor), but the tie breaker went to his brother, Bruiser. In 2015, he was the PRCA Reserve Champion Bull, coming in second to Kish's #849 Crystal Deal. In 2016, ''Time Magazine'' selected Long John for its 100 Most Influential Animals of 2016, at 50th place. Long John became both a fan favorite and a bull rider favorite by the end of his career. The PBR CEO, Sean Gleason, said, shortly after his death: "Long John was a phenomenal athlete with the heart of a champion." Built Ford Tough Series
The Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) was the elite series tour name of the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) competitions from 2003 to 2017. The BFTS kicked off its tour on November 16, 2002 with the Mohegan Sun Invitational in Uncasville, Connecticut. Six of the series events were broadcast on NBC. The entire series was broadcast on Outdoor Life Network (OLN). Telemundo broadcast two events. The first run of the series was held in 29 cities. 2003 inaugural season In its inaugural season, the BFTS featured the world's top 45 riders at each event throughout the season. The 45 riders who earned the most money at all PBR-sanctioned events qualified to compete at the PBR BFTS World Finals at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Newcastle, Oklahoma
Newcastle is a city in McClain County, Oklahoma, United States, and part of the Oklahoma City Metropolitan Area. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 10,984. History Newcastle became a dot on the map with the opening of a new post office March 26, 1894 and a population of 25. The area had previously been served by the nearby William P. Jess Lockwood (born September 28, 1997) is an American professional rodeo cowboy who specializes in bull riding, and competes in the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) circuit. He joined the PBR in 2015 and was named Rookie of the Year in 2016. On November 5, 2017, he became the youngest PBR World Champion. He won his second PBR world championship on November 10, 2019. Mason Lowe (September 12, 1993 – January 15, 2019) was an American professional rodeo cowboy who specialized in bull riding, and competed in the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) circuit. He was ranked 18th in the PBR world standings at the time of his death. Early life Mason Lowe was born in Springfield, Missouri, on September 12, 1993, to Stacy Lowe and Melissa Reed. He grew up in Exeter, Missouri. His interest in bull riding started as a toddler; when he was three years old he rode the milk calves on his family farm. He participated in junior rodeos, and skipped high school rodeos to enter the amateur bull riding aged fifteen, competing throughout the Midwest.
