Andrew Michael Lonergan (born 19 October 1983) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Everton. Lonergan is a former England U21 international and is also eligible to play for the Republic of Ireland. After starting his career at Preston North End, Lonergan soon established himself as a first-choice goalkeeper and won Preston's player of the year award in both the 2008–09 and 2009–10 seasons. He is the co-writer of the film ''Gangs of New York'' (2002), and wrote and directed '' You Can Count on Me'' (2000), ''Margaret'' (2011), and '' Manchester by the Sea'' (2016). Tom And Eileen Lonergan
Thomas Joseph Lonergan (born 28 December 1964) and Eileen Cassidy Lonergan (née Hains; born 3 March 1969) were a married American couple who were unintentionally abandoned in the Coral Sea off Australia's northeast coast on 25 January 1998 during a group scuba-diving trip aboard MV ''Outer Edge''. Their absences were not noted by the boat crew until two days later on 27 January, and while search efforts resulted in the discovery of personal effects presumed to be those of the Lonergans, the discoveries did not lead to their rescue. Neither has been found, and both are presumed dead. The couple's disappearance and deaths resulted in "a crisis of confidence in north Queensland's dive industry" and resulted in tighter mandatory safety regulations for diving boats in Australia. Tom Lonergan (born 17 May 1984) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Career Early career Lonergan grew up in Yarrawonga and as a 15-year-old made his senior debut for the Yarrawonga Pigeons against the Wodonga Raiders in the Ovens & Murray Football League. Sam Lonergan (born 26 March 1987) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Football Club and Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Richard Joseph "Peg Leg" Lonergan (January 16, 1900 - December 26, 1925) was an American underworld figure and labor racketeer. He was a high-ranking member and the final leader of the White Hand Gang. He succeeded Bill Lovett after his murder in 1923 and, under his leadership, led a two-year campaign against Frankie Yale over the New York waterfront until he and five of his lieutenants were killed in South Brooklyn during a Christmas Day celebration at the Adonis Social Club in 1925. Julia Lily Ann Lonergan (born 14 January 1961) is an Australian judge who was appointed to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in March 2017. Lonergan was born in Sydney and educated at St Patrick's Parramatta and Loreto Kirribilli. She then studied a Bachelor of Arts at Macquarie University and a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Sydney before being admitted to practice as a solicitor in 1983. She began working at her parents' firm, T P and J Lonergan in Parramatta. She then worked for GIO, specialising in insurance litigation, later moving to Suncorp Metway.
