London Roar
London Roar is a professional swimming club based in London and one of the first clubs of the International Swimming League (ISL) to be formed. It was formed in March 2019, with an international roster of swimmers including Adam Peaty who was among the first to support the formation of ISL independent of FINA. It is run by its general manager Rob Woodhouse. London hosted the sixth of the seven meets in ISL's inaugural season in 2019. The team finished second in 2019 and third in 2020. Team roster Six swimmers were named as co-captains in seasons one: Sydney Pickrem, Kyle Chalmers, Adam Peaty, Mireia Belmonte, Cate Campbell and James Guy. Peaty and Pickrem were initially announced as captains in the second season, followed by Alia Atkinson and Guilherme Guido. International Swimming League
The International Swimming League (ISL) is an annual professional swimming league, established in 2019. It features a team-based competition format with fast-paced race sessions. In 2019, the regular season started in October and the Final Match was held in December. Athletes with a history of breaking anti-doping rules are banned from ISL. In March 2022, following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the ISL abruptly cancelled its fourth season and all competition in 2022. Andreas Vazaios
Andreas Vazaios ( el, Ανδρέας Βαζαίος; born 9 May 1994 in Athens) is a Greek swimmer. He competed in the 200 m individual medley event at the 2012 Summer Olympics and was eliminated after the qualifying heats. Marie Wattel (born 2 June 1997) is a French swimmer. She competed in the women's 100 metre butterfly event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She qualified to represent France at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Luke Greenbank (born 17 September 1997) is an English professional swimmer who specialises in backstroke. A medalist in the 200 metre backstroke at the Olympic Games and the World and European championships, he also swam the first leg in the 2019 World and 2020 European Championship gold medal-winning Great Britain medley relay teams. He won a silver medal as lead-off for Great Britain in the 4 x 100 metre medley relay for men at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Kira Marije Toussaint (born 22 May 1994) is a Dutch competitive swimmer who specialises in backstroke. She is the former world record holder in the short course 50 metre backstroke and the Dutch record holder in the long course 50 metre backstroke and 100 metre backstroke, and the short course 50 metre, 100 metre, and 200 metre backstroke.
