''London et Kirshenbaum'' ( he, לונדון את קירשנבאום; lit. ''London & Kirschenbaum'') was an Israeli current affairs news show on Israeli Channel 10 between 2002 and 2019. Up to 2015 it was hosted by two veterans Israeli journalists, Yaron London and Moti Kirschenbaum until Kirschenbaum's death, afterwards London continued to host the show under the same name in honor of Kirschenbaum. Overview The show interviewed Israeli politicians, public figures, artists and scientists, and often ended with music performance. The show won an Israeli Academy Award for best current affairs news show in 2005. Current affairs is a genre of broadcast journalism in which major news stories are discussed at length in a timely manner. This differs from regular news broadcasts that place emphasis on news reports presented for simple presentation as soon as possible, often with a minimum of analysis. It is also different from the news magazine show format in that the events are discussed immediately. Channel 10 (Israel)
Channel 10 ( he, ערוץ עשר, translit=Arutz Eser), formerly known as Israel 10 ( he, ישראל 10, translit=Yisra'el Eser), was an Israeli free-to-air television channel. Operating under the auspices of The Second Authority for Television and Radio, Channel 10 was one of three commercial television channels in Israel (others being Keshet 12 and Reshet 13), enjoying an average audience rating of 6.5% in 2011 within its main news program. Despite the name, the channel was actually broadcast on channel 14 from 1 November 2017 until its closure on 16 January 2019. Channel 10 underwent a merger with rival network Reshet 13 (of Reshet), and this channel ceased transmissions on 16 January 2019. Some programs from Channel 10 moved over to Reshet 13. Yaron London
Yaron London ( he, ירון לונדון; born 24 August 1940) is an Israeli media personality, journalist, actor and songwriter. Biography Yaron London was born in Tel Aviv. His father was an actor, Bezalel London. London studied at Herzliya Hebrew High School and the agricultural boarding school HaKfar HaYarok. In 1961, after serving in the IDF, he moved to Jerusalem to study graphics at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. He lives in Afeka, Tel Aviv. He was married to Nira, with whom he has three children. In 2005, Nira suffered a stroke. She died in February 2010. Media career In 1962, during his studies, he began working for Kol Yisrael as a news announcer. Mordechai (Moti) Kirschenbaum ( he, מרדכי "מוטי" קירשנבאום; September 24, 1939 – September 25, 2015) was an Israeli media personality and documentarian. Biography Kirschenbaum was born in Kfar Saba in 1939. He studied in Pardes Hanna Agricultural High School. He served in the parachuted Nahal unit of the IDF. From 1962 to 1968 he studied film and television in UCLA. He was a staff member of the Israeli television from its inception in May 1968, and was editor of "Mabat", its news program, during its first three years. He directed several documentaries, and produced and edited several television programs (including "Lo HaKol Over" and "Nikui Rosh"). He also directed satirical theater productions, including sketches for HaGashash HaHiver. He wrote and directed approximately 120 reports for the "Yoman" ("Diary") television program. Raviv Drucker ( he, רביב דרוקר; born September 11, 1970) is an Israeli journalist, political commentator and investigative reporter. Journalistic career Early years Drucker began his journalistic career as a general reporter, and later on a real-estate and infrastructure reporter in Maariv newspaper. In 1997 he was promoted to be the newspaper's chief political reporter. In 1998 he became the political and diplomatic correspondent for Galei Tzahal (Israel's Army Radio), where he also occasionally hosted the daily "Ma Bo'er" (What's Hot) news broadcast. Zvi (Zvika) Yehezkeli ( he, צבי (צביקה) יחזקאלי, born August 17, 1970) is an Israeli television journalist and documentarian. He is an Arab affairs correspondent and head of the Arab desk at Israeli News 13, the news division of Israel 13. Biography Zvi Yehezkeli was born in Jerusalem to a secular family with Iraqi Jewish and Kurdish Jewish origins. He has two younger sisters. Nadav Asher Eyal ( he, נדב אשר איל; born March 6, 1979) is an Israeli journalist and commentator, who served as a foreign news editor for Channel 13. He is the author of the book ''Revolt: The Worldwide Uprising Against Globalization'' (2021). Early life Eyal was born on 1979 in England and grew up in Pardes Hanna, Israel. Matan Hodorov (in Hebrew: מתן חודורוב; born June 10, 1985) is chief economic commentator and anchorman of "Analyst" Investigative Magazine at Israel's Channel 10 News.
