London is an unincorporated community located in the counties of Dane and Jefferson in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. Glacial Drumlin State Trail
The Glacial Drumlin State Trail is a multipurpose rail trail in the U.S. State of Wisconsin. It stretches from Waukesha (near Milwaukee) to Cottage Grove (near Madison). The trail travels through or near the Wisconsin communities of Cottage Grove, Deerfield, London, Lake Mills, Jefferson, Helenville, Sullivan, Dousman, Genesee, Wales, and Waukesha. In Lake Mills, it crosses Rock Lake on one of its many old railroad bridges. The trail was opened in 1986 and follows the old Chicago and North Western Railway (C&NW) Madison–Milwaukee mainline. The name refers to a drumlin, a glacial landform very common in the area. About Traveling west from Waukesha, the trail runs continually for about 22 miles until reaching Jefferson. Near Jefferson, the trail takes a 1.5-mile detour where bikers travel along nearby low-traffic roads until reconnecting with the trail. Road signs guide travelers through this part of the trail. Cambridge is a village in Dane (mostly) and Jefferson counties in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 1,638 at the 2020 census. Of this, 1,539 were in Dane County, and 99 were in Jefferson County. The Dane County portion of Cambridge is part of the Madison Metropolitan Statistical Area, while the Jefferson County portion is part of the Watertown– Fort Atkinson Micropolitan Statistical Area. History Settlement–1890 The settlement of Cambridge dates back to October 15, 1847, when the farmer Joseph Keyes filed plans with the Register of Deeds of Dane County. Wisconsin Highway 134
State Trunk Highway 134 (often called Highway 134, STH-134 or WIS 134) is a state highway in the south central part of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The route runs from US Highway 12 (US 12) and US 18 in Cambridge north to County Trunk Highway O (CTH-O) in London. WIS 134 is maintained by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). Route description WIS 134 begins at a junction with US 12 and US 18 in the village of Cambridge in Dane County. From here, the highway heads north through a rural area of the Town of Christiana. After crossing into the Town of Deerfield, the highway heads northeast before turning north along the Dane–Jefferson county line. The highway heads through farmland into the community of London, where it terminates at a junction with Main Street and CTH-O, the latter of which continues north past the intersection.
