Lolita Morena
Lolita Laura Morena (born 15 October 1960) is a Swiss model and television hostess. Miss Switzerland She was a student of Egyptology when she won the Miss Switzerland pageant in 1982. She went on to represent her country at Miss World 1982 and Miss Universe 1983. Coincidentally she finished as third runner-up in both pageants and was awarded the Miss Photogenic Award twice. Personal life At the age of 3, she emigrated to Switzerland with her Mother. Her father died of a heart attack at the age of 26. Her mother, Antonia, settled in Bôle and worked at the “Fabriques de Tabac Réunies” tobacco factory in Neuchâtel. Miss Switzerland or Miss Universe Switzerland (german: link=no, Miss Schweiz; french: link=no, Miss Suisse; it, link=no, Miss Svizzera) is a national Beauty pageant in Switzerland. The pageant was founded in 1951, where the winners were sent to Miss Universe. History Began in 1951 Miss Switzerland resulted Jacqueline Genton as the first ever Miss Switzerland and won the Miss Europa 1951 title. In 1953 Miss Switzerland was sponsored by Bea Kasse4. Patrick Kenny (born 29 January 1948) is an Irish broadcaster, who currently hosts the daily radio show ''The Pat Kenny Show'' on Newstalk and the current affairs show ''Pat Kenny Tonight'' on Virgin Media One. Oliver Mlakar (born 1 July 1935) is a Croatian television presenter. Best known for hosting game shows, he was one of the most popular television personalities in SFR Yugoslavia and later Croatia. Biography Mlakar was born in Ptuj and lived in Osijek from 1945 to 1954. He moved to Zagreb in 1954 to study French and Italian at the University of Zagreb and began working as an announcer for Radio Zagreb in 1957. Mlakar became a full-time broadcaster for Television Zagreb in 1965, hosting ''Poziv na kviz'' with Jasmina Nikić, the first quiz show on Yugoslav television. The Eurovision Song Contest 1989 was the 34th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Lausanne, Switzerland, following Céline Dion's victory at the with the song "Ne partez pas sans moi". Organised by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SRG SSR), the contest was held at Palais de Beaulieu on 6 May 1989 and was hosted by Swiss model Lolita Morena and journalist Jacques Deschenaux. Twenty-two countries took part in the contest with returning after having been disqualified the year before. The winner was with the song " Rock Me" by Croatian band Riva.
