Lokot Autonomy
The Lokot Autonomy (russian: Ло́котское самоуправле́ние, lit=Lókotskoye samoupravléniye) or Lokot Republic (russian: Ло́котская республика, lit=Lókotskaya respublika, german: Republik Lokot) was an autonomous structure on the territory of the Central Russian oblasts of Bryansk, Oryol and Kursk from July 1942 to August 1943. The Wehrmacht entered the area in October 1941 and were forced out in August 1943. The autonomy was formed in July 1942, when six districts were added to the Lokot district. The autonomy's name was derived from the region's administrative center, the urban-type settlement of Lokot in Oryol Oblast (now located in Bryansk Oblast). The "Autonomy" covered the area of eight raions (the present-day Brasovsky, Dmitriyevsky, Dmitrovsky, Komarichsky, Navlinsky, Sevsky, Suzemsky and Zheleznogorsky districts) now divided between Bryansk, Oryol and Kursk Oblasts. Anatoly Evgenevich Lokot (russian: Анатолий Евгеньевич Локоть; born 18 January 1959, Novosibirsk) is the mayor of Novosibirsk, in Russia. In 1981, he graduated from the Department of Physics and Technics of the Novosibirsk State Technical University. Lokot-lokot
Lokot-lokot or Locot-locot is a delicacy common in Mindanao and the Sulu Archipelago in the Philippines. It is also referred to as jaa in Sulu; tagaktak, tinagtag, tinadtag, or tinagaktak in Maguindanao, and amik in Davao del Sur. Its texture is crunchy, usually colored golden-brown. Lokot-Lokot is usually produced and served on special occasions such as the Muslim feast of Eid al-Fitr. Lokot-Lokot is made by repeatedly pounding glutinous rice until it becomes fine powder which is then blended with water and other ingredients to create a thick batter. The mixture is then poured into a halved coconut shell with holes called an ''uluyan'' directly into frying oil, resulting in fried mats of rice noodles. It is then formed into rolls or folded into a wedge using two wooden spoons called the ''gagawi''.
