Loknath Patnaik
C. H. Loknath (14 August 1927 – 31 December 2018) was an Indian actor with more than 1000 Kannada plays and 650 films to his credit. Loknath is affectionately known as "Uncle Loknath" or "Uppinakayi" in the industry. His last performance was in a Star Suvarna Channel's TV series titled ''Priyadarshini''. Biography Some of the characters he has played are Galileo in ''Galileo'', Rajaram in ''Aspota'', Dr. Faustus in ''Dr. Faustus'', Kakaji in ''Tanavu Ninnade Manavu Ninnade'', and Dushtabudhi in ''Chandrahasa''. His most famous films include ''Bhootayyana Maga Ayyu'', ''Collegu Ranga'', ''Naagarahaavu'', ''Katha Sangama'', ''Hosa Neeru'', '' Singapurinalli Raja Kulla'', '' Minchina Ota'' and ''Mane Mane Kathe''. ''Katha Sangama'' () is a 1976 Indian Kannada-language anthology film, directed by Puttanna Kanagal, based on three short stories; ''Hangu'' by Giraddi Govindaraj, ''Athithi'' by Veena and ''Munithaayi'' by Eshwara Chandra. The film stars Kalyan Kumar, Rajinikanth, B. Saroja Devi and Aarathi in the lead roles. The supporting cast includes Lokanath, Vamana Rao, Shivaramaiah and Master Umesh. The film won three awards at the 1975–76 Karnataka State Film Awards, including the award for Best Actress (Aarathi). The 1984 Tamil film '' Kai Kodukkum Kai'' was an extended version of the '' Munithayi'' segment from this movie. ''Kittu Puttu'' is a 1977 Indian Kannada-language comedy drama film directed by C. V. Rajendran and produced by Dwarakish. The film stars Vishnuvardhan, Dwarakish, Manjula, K. Vijaya and Vaishali Kasaravalli. The film was widely appreciated for its songs and story upon release. The songs tuned by Rajan–Nagendra were huge hits. The movie is a remake of 1967 Tamil movie ''Anubavi Raja Anubavi'' which was also earlier remade in Hindi in 1973 as ''Do Phool''. ''Pushpaka Vimana'' (; a reference to ) is a 1987 Indian black comedy film written and directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, who co-produced it with Shringar Nagaraj. The film, which has no dialogue, stars Kamal Haasan leading an ensemble cast that includes Samir Khakhar, Tinu Anand, K. S. Ramesh, Amala, Farida Jalal, Pratap Potan, Lokanath, P. L. Narayana and Ramya. It revolves around an unemployed graduate who encounters a drunk rich man unconscious and takes over his lifestyle after keeping him prisoner.
