Logan Brown
Logan Mathers Brown (born March 5, 1998) is a Canadian-American professional ice hockey player currently playing for the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected in the first round, 11th overall, by the Ottawa Senators in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Youth Brown played minor ice hockey in St. Louis and Indiana where his father, former NHL All-Star Jeff Brown, was coaching. He participated in the 2010 and 2011 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournaments with his St. Louis team. Junior Niagara IceDogs Brown was selected by the Niagara IceDogs of the OHL in the first round (sixth overall) in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection. The Windsor Spitfires are a Canadian junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). The team is based in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Ontario Hockey League
The Ontario Hockey League (OHL; french: Ligue de hockey de l'Ontario (LHO)) is one of the three major junior ice hockey leagues which constitute the Canadian Hockey League. The league is for players aged 16–19. There are exceptions for overage players of 20 years of age. The Ottawa 67's are a major junior ice hockey team based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, that plays in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). 2016–17 OHL Season
The 2016–17 OHL season was the 37th season of the Ontario Hockey League, in which twenty teams played 68 games each according to the regular season schedule, from September 21, 2016 to March 21, 2017. The playoffs began on March 23, 2017 and ended on May 12. The Erie Otters won the J. Ross Robertson Cup for the second time in franchise history, and the first time since 2002, as they defeated the Mississauga Steelheads in five games to represent the OHL at the 2017 Memorial Cup held at the WFCU Centre in Windsor, Ontario. Brandon Halverson (born March 29, 1996) is an American professional ice hockey goaltender who is currently an unrestricted free agent. He was selected by the New York Rangers, 59th overall, in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. Playing career Halverson played major junior hockey with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). On July 2, 2015, the New York Rangers signed Halverson to an entry-level contract. During the 2017–18 season, on February 17, 2018, Halverson made his NHL debut with the Rangers, stopping 5 shots and allowing 1 goal, in a 6–3 loss to the Ottawa Senators. The Kitchener Rangers are a major junior ice hockey team based in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. They are members of the Midwest Division of the Western Conference of the Ontario Hockey League. The Flint Firebirds are a major junior ice hockey team based in Flint, Michigan. The team plays home games at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center, and operates as a member of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). The team began play for the 2015–16 season. The 2015–16 OHL season was the 36th season of the Ontario Hockey League, in which twenty teams played 68 games each according to the regular season schedule, from September 2015 to March 2016. The Plymouth Whalers relocated to Flint and became the Flint Firebirds, playing at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center. The Belleville Bulls relocated to Hamilton and became the Hamilton Bulldogs, playing at FirstOntario Centre. The London Knights won the J. Ross Robertson Cup for the fourth time in franchise history, as they defeated the Niagara IceDogs in four games in the final round of the playoffs. Mississauga Steelheads
The Mississauga Steelheads are a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League, based in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. The Steelheads play their games at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre in Mississauga. History The OHL originated in Mississauga with the Mississauga IceDogs. The IceDogs played in Mississauga from 1998 to 2007 being purchased by Ottawa Senators owner Eugene Melnyk in 2006. Following the 2006-2007 season, Melnyk sold the Icedogs who moved to St Catherines to become the Niagara IceDogs. At the same time Melynk moved the Toronto St. Michael's Majors to Mississauga to become the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors. The Peterborough Petes are a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey League. The team has played at the Peterborough Memorial Centre in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, since 1956, and is the oldest continuously operating team in the league. History The Petes were born on October 1, 1956 when the Kitchener Canucks relocated to Peterborough after the 1955–56 season.
