Saint Jarlath, also known as Iarlaithe mac Loga (''fl.'' 6th century), was an Irish priest and scholar from Connacht, remembered as the founder of the monastic School of Tuam and of the Archdiocese of Tuam, of which he is the patron saint. No medieval ''Life'' for Jarlath is extant, but sources for his life and cult include genealogies, martyrologies, the Irish ''Lives of St Brendan of Clonfert'', and a biography compiled by John Colgan in the 17th century. Background The Irish genealogies record the existence of two saints named Jarlath: Jarlath son of Lugh (''Iarlaithe m. Loga''), founder of Tuam, and Jarlath son of Trian (''Iarlaithe m. Ignacy Loga-Sowiński
Ignacy Loga-Sowiński (January 20, 1914 – December 10, 1992) was a Polish trade union activist and politician. He was a member of the Central Committee and Politburo of the Polish United Workers' Party. He was a member of the State National Council from 1956 to 1971. He also served as the deputy chairman of the council and was an ambassador of the Polish People's Republic to Turkey from 1971 to 1978. Early life He is the son of Władysław and Honorata née Misiak, his father being an agricultural laborer. He received elementary education. Loga Ramin Torkian ( fa, لوگا) رامین ترکیان))،(Born: September 23 ،1964) is a musician and the co-founder of the groups Axiom of Choice and Niyaz. Both groups incorporate Persian and Middle Eastern themes into their music. Torkian composes music and plays several instruments, including the Iranian tar, the Turkish saz, and the GuitarViol, an electric guitar-like instrument that uses a bow and is adapted from a 14th-century instrument. Several of the lyrics in his songs draw on or include traditional Middle-Eastern prayers, songs or chants. His music has also appeared in several films, such as ''The Chosen One'' (1995), ''America So Beautiful'' (2001), ''Plastic Flowers Never Die'' (2008), and ''Crossing Over'' (2009). Loga Park (Russian: Парк Логá) is a European-style landscape park situated in Khutor Staraya Stanitsa of Kamensk-Shakhtinsky City in the Rostov region of Russia.
