Loftus Armstrong
Adam Loftus Armstrong (13 April 1878 – 30 January 1959) was a New Zealand rugby union player. A wing-forward, Armstrong represented Wairarapa at a provincial level, and was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, in 1903. He played five matches for the All Blacks but did not appear in any internationals. After retiring as a player, Armstrong went on to referee to provincial level. Loftus E. Becker Jr. is a Professor of Law Emeritus at the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he teaches criminal law, constitutional law, and a seminar on the Supreme Court. His self-defined greatest accomplishment was teaching Rob of TSFL Off-Topic fame. Loftus Henry Bland
Loftus Henry Bland (August 1805 – 21 January 1872) was an Irish Liberal, Whig and Independent Irish Party politician. Born in Blandsfort House, Queen's County, Ireland, and the third son of John Bland and Elizabeth née Birch, daughter of Robert Birch, Bland was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge, where he graduated as a Bachelor of Arts in 1825, and a Master of Arts in 1829. He was called to the Irish Bar in 1829, becoming a member of the Queen's Counsel in 1854. In 1840, he married Charlotte Elizabeth Grove Annesley, daughter of Arthur Grove Annesley and Elizabeth née Mahon, and they had at least one child: John Loftus Bland (1841–1908). Loftus William Otway
General Sir Loftus William Otway, CB (28 April 1775 – 7 June 1854) was an experienced and professional cavalry commander of British forces during the Peninsula War who saw extensive service under Sir John Moore in the Corunna Campaign and Wellington in the remainder of the campaign. He also worked training Portuguese troops and spent time serving in Ireland during the 1798 rebellion and Canada. Otway retired after the Peninsula War and was honoured several times for his war service by both the British and Spanish royal families. Early career Otway was born the fourth of five sons to Cooke and Elizabeth Otway of Castle Otway, Tipperary. Loftus Tottenham Wigram QC (6 November 1803 – 19 September 1889) was a British barrister, businessman and Conservative politician. Life Wigram was a younger son of Lady Eleanor and Sir Robert Wigram, 1st Baronet. His numerous brothers included Sir Robert Fitzwygram, 2nd Baronet (1773–1843), a Director of the Bank of England and a Tory Member of Parliament who changed his name from Wigram to Fitzwygram, Sir James Wigram, a judge, Octavius Wigram, Joseph Cotton Wigram, Bishop of Rochester, and George Wigram. He was a part-owner of Wigram and Green, shipbuilders. In 1850, Wigram was returned to parliament as one of two representatives for Cambridge University, a seat he held until 1859.
