Thomas Odoard Marshall Lodge (16 April 1936 – 25 March 2012) was an English author and radio broadcaster. Early life Lodge was a figure in British radio of the 1960s. He was a disc jockey on Radio Caroline. He was the son of the writer Oliver W F Lodge and his wife Diana, and a grandson of the physicist Sir Oliver Lodge. He was born on 16 April 1936, in Tanleather Cottage, Forest Green, Surrey. When World War II broke out, his family left England. He was brought up in Maryland and Virginia. At the end of the war he returned with his family to England and lived near Painswick, Gloucestershire. He was educated at Bedales School, England, where he developed his interest in music. Thomas Lodge (c. 1558September 1625) was an English writer and medical practitioner whose life spanned the Elizabethan and Jacobean periods. Biography Thomas Lodge was born about 1558 in West Ham, the second son of Sir Thomas Lodge, Lord Mayor of London, by his third wife Anne (1528–1579), daughter of Henry Luddington (died 1531), a London grocer. He was educated at Merchant Taylors' School and Trinity College, Oxford; taking his BA in 1577 and MA in 1581. In 1578 he entered Lincoln's Inn, where, as in the other Inns of Court, a love of letters and a crop of debts were common. Lodge, disregarding the wishes of his family, took up literature. Stephen Lodge (February 6, 1943 – February 26, 2017) was an American author, television screenwriter and actor; also a former costumer and stuntman to the industry. He was born in the Long Beach area of California, United States. Early and professional life Lodge was the co-writer of the Kenny Rogers Western epic, the 1993 CBS TV movie ''Rio Diablo'', co-starring Travis Tritt, Naomi Judd and Stacy Keach. His first major screenwriting credit was for the United Artists feature ''The Honkers'' starring James Coburn. Soon afterwards, he was writing, producing and directing the film, ''One Block Away'' – this was co-written by Hoke Howell, who also acted in it. Sir Oliver Joseph Lodge, (12 June 1851 – 22 August 1940) was a British physicist and writer involved in the development of, and holder of key patents for, radio. He identified electromagnetic radiation independent of Heinrich Rudolf Hertz, Hertz's proof and at his 1894 Royal Institution lectures ("''The Work of Hertz and Some of His Successors''"), Lodge demonstrated an early radio wave detector he named the "coherer". Her abstract portraits of memories, situations, events, and people are inspired by the unconscious, dreams, journals, and nature.
