The Alabama State House of Representatives is the lower house of the Alabama Legislature, the state legislature of state of Alabama. The House is composed of 105 members representing an equal number of districts, with each constituency containing at least 42,380 citizens. There are no term limits in the House. The House is also one of the five lower houses of state legislatures in the United States that is elected every four years. Dexter Grimsley (born November 11, 1970) is an American politician who served as a Democrat in the Alabama House of Representatives The Alabama State House of Representatives is the lower house of the Alabama Legislature, the state legislature of state of Alabama. The House is composed of 105 members representing an equal number of districts, with each constituency contai ... from the 85th district from 2010 to 2022, representing Henry and Houston counties. Grimsley worked as a state probation officer for 19 years, but after being re-elected to a second four-year term as state representative, was told he could not hold two state positions. He has said that he needed to have a second job to support his family financially and was only five years from retirement. Grimsley served three terms in the state legislature. Abbeville is a city in and the county seat of Henry County, in the southeast part of Alabama, United States. It is part of the Dothan, Alabama Metropolitan Statistical Area.
