Loadstar (musical Duo)
Loadstar is music production duo from Bristol, United Kingdom. They produced predominantly drum and bass however they worked in other genres such as dubstep and electro. The duo consisted of Gavin "Xample" Harris and Nick "Lomax" Hill. They previously produced under the alias Xample & Lomax. Career 2007–2009: Record deal and formation The two artists met while Bristol-born Xample was studying sociology at Liverpool University. Lomax was one-third of the production trio Holdtight at the time. Xample booked Holdtight for a drum and bass event, and Lomax moved to Bristol shortly afterwards. Xample sent some tracks to Andy C via instant message, and soon afterwards was signed to his label RAM Records. The duo's first release was the track " The Latter" which was released on 28 May 2007. Xample
Gavin Harris, better known as Xample, is a British drum and bass producer and DJ, who originates from Bristol, England. He has been releasing records since 2003. In June 2007, he scored a number 1 on the UK Dance Chart with his track " Lowdown". From 2010 to 2020, he worked with fellow producer Lomax, under the collective name Loadstar. However, as of 23 May 2020, the duo are no longer actively producing together, as confirmed by RAM Records on a livestream. The album was released on April 5, 2010 as a full-length CD as well as two double 12" EPs; the ''Vision EP'' includes four drum and Bass songs whilst the ''Division EP'' includes four electro house/breakbeat songs. Noisia (stylised as NOISIΛ; "VISION" turned upside down) was a Dutch electronic music trio consisting of members Nik Roos, Martijn van Sonderen and Thijs de Vlieger from Groningen, Netherlands. Annie Mac (born 18 July 1978), is an Irish DJ, broadcaster and writer. She hosted a variety of shows on BBC Radio 1, including BBC Switch and ''Future Sounds''. She also DJed in various locations, including hosting her AMP (Annie Mac Presents) Lost and Found venues in places like Ibiza. Personal life Annie Mac was born in Dublin, Ireland on 18 July 1978. After attending Wesley College in Dublin, she studied English literature at Queen's University Belfast, Northern Ireland. Annie lives in Queen's Park, London.
