Lluçanès () is a natural region transitioning between the Plain of Vic and Berguedà, in the pre-Pyrenees. Although not an officially recognized comarca of Catalonia, it has a strong historical, natural and social personality. Corresponding municipalities It is made up of the following municipalities: * In the comarca of Osona: Alpens, Lluçà, Olost, Oristà, Perafita, Prats de Lluçanès, Sant Agustí de Lluçanès, Sant Bartomeu del Grau, Sant Boi de Lluçanès, Sant Martí d'Albars, Sobremunt. * In the comarca of Berguedà: Santa Maria de Merlès * In the comarca of Bages: Sant Feliu Sasserra. Prats de Lluçanès ((Officially and in Catalan language, Catalan, ; es, Prats de Llusanés) is a Municipalities of Spain, municipality in the Comarques of Catalonia, ''comarca'' of Osona (comarca), Osona in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in the west of the ''comarca'', on a plain between the Lluçanès and Merlès rivers, and is served by the C-154 road between Vic and Gironella. In 2015, the municipality voted to join a proposed new comarca of Lluçanès, of which it would be the capital, but the plan was put on hold due to insufficient support. Osona (comarca)
Osona () is a comarques of Catalonia, comarca situated in Catalonia, Spain, Northeast Spain. Its capital is Vic. Its population in 2001 was 129,543. Osona covers roughly the same area as the historic Catalan county of Osona. The name Osona comes from ''Ausetans'', a group of Iberian people who had their capital in ''Ausa'' (today Vic); the Roman Empire, Romans called the area ''Ausone'' or ''Ausona''. While most of the ''comarca'' is within the Provinces of Spain, province Barcelona (province), of Barcelona, the municipalities of Espinelves, Vidrà and Viladrau form part of the Girona (province), province of Girona. The most important town of Osona is Vic, its capital and an important and ancient urban center in this natural region that lies in the midst of the Plain of Vic. Other significant towns in the plain are Manlleu and Tona, Spain, Tona. Olost
Olost is a municipality in the province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It has less than 1,200 people, situated on a plain 669 meters above sea level at 20 km from Vic in the center of the ancient shire or comarca of the Lluçanès, at present in the comarca of Osona. In the center of the village stands the church of Santa Maria d'Olost of monumental size, with a large façade and two bell towers. Its construction started in the 10th century and ended in the 18th century. Near Olost are the two small settlements of Santa Creu de Jutglars (built in 984) and the Vila with Sant Gil de la Vila (built in 1038) and the unusual Castell d'Olost, built in 1155 with added elements of the 14th and 15th centuries, that lies in a depression next to a stream in the district of Orista. Santa Maria De Merlès
Santa Maria de Merlès (Officially and in Catalan; es, Santa María de Marlés) is a municipality in Catalonia. It is officially within the comarca of Berguedà, but traditionally, it is a part of the natural comarca of Lluçanès. The municipality is located on the ''riera'', or stream, of Merlès, from which the town takes its name. It is located about 14 kilometers east of Puig-reig, and 8 kilometers west of Prats de Lluçanès, the nearest market town. The town is divided into two parishes, Santa Maria (in the Bishopric of Solsona) to the west of the ''riera'', and Sant Martí (in the Bishopric of Vic) to the east. This village, prominent because of its monastery, gives its name to the surrounding natural comarca of Lluçanès. Sant Feliu Sasserra
Sant Feliu Sasserra is a municipality in the extreme north-east of the comarca of Bages, in Catalonia. It is also within the natural comarca of Lluçanès. The municipality's name has its origins in several features of the town. It is named ''Sant Feliu'' after a primitive church erected atop a rock named the ''roca d'en Feliu'', or "Felix's Rock". The main road through the municipality, which connected Prats de Lluçanès with Artés in Bages, followed the area's hilly natural contours along a ridge, hence ''Sasserra''. Alpens
Alpens () is a municipality situated in the Lluçanès zone, within the ''Comarques of Catalonia, comarca'' of Osona, in the Barcelona (province), province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Alpens is located 105 km from the city of Barcelona and 35 km from the comarca capital, Vic. In the municipal area there are ruins of a fortress which dates to the year 1109, the fortress of Freixenet. It is one of the places catalogued by the government as sites of Spanish cultural heritage. There is also the 10th-century church of Sant Pere de Serrallonga.
