Llucia Ramis
Llucia Ramis i Laloux (Palma, Majorca, April 23, 1977) is a Catalan language journalist and writer. She studied journalism at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and has worked in different media, including the newspaper ''Diario de Mallorca'', the literary magazine ''Quimera'', ''COM Ràdio'', Rac1 and the Catalan edition of ''El Mundo'' newspaper. In ''El Mundo'' she publishes the column ''Plexiglàs'' of the ''Tendències'' supplement. Her debut novel, début novel was ''Coses que et passen a Barcelona quan tens 30 anys'' (Editorial Columna, 2008), and it received favorable reviews. In 2010, she won the Josep Pla Award with her second novel ''Egosurfing'' (Editorial Destino, 2010). Palma (; ; also known as ''Palma de Mallorca'', officially between 1983–88, 2006–08, and 2012–16) is the capital and largest city of the autonomous community of the Balearic Islands in Spain. Mallorca, or Majorca, is the largest island in the Balearic Islands, which are part of Spain and located in the Mediterranean. The Josep Pla Award ( es, Premio Josep Pla, links=no; ca, Premi Josep Pla, links=no) is a Spanish literary prize, awarded by the Destino publishing house since 1968, to a prose text written in Catalan. It is open to all genres: novel, short story, narrative, travel book, memoir, biography, diary, etc. Its name pays tribute to Josep Pla, considered one of the most important prose writers of contemporary Catalan literature.
