In gridiron football, defensive backs (DBs), also called the secondary, are the players on the defensive side of the ball who play farthest back from the line of scrimmage. They are distinguished from the other two sets of defensive players, the defensive linemen who play directly on the line of scrimmage, and the linebackers, who play in the middle of the defense, between the defensive line and the defensive backs. Prairie Hill is an unincorporated area, unincorporated community in western Limestone County, Texas, Limestone County, Texas, United States. It lies along U.S. Route 84 northwest of the city of Groesbeck, Texas, Groesbeck, the county seat of Limestone County. Its elevation is 594 feet (181 m). Although Prairie Hill is unincorporated, it has a post office, with the ZIP code of 76678. Named for a small nearby hill, Prairie Hill's first settler was shopkeeper Marquis Perry, who became the first postmaster when the community received a post office in 1884. Mart High School is a public high school located in Mart, Texas (USA) and classified as a 2A school by the UIL. It is part of the Mart Independent School District located in eastern McLennan County. In 2015, the school was rated " Met Standard" by the Texas Education Agency. History Mart High School was established in 1906 and graduated its first senior class in 1908 and used its main building until 2017. They are building a new high school that will be done in 2019. Integration between Mart and all-black Anderson High school began in 1966 and was fully integrated by 1970 after Anderson High School graduated its last class in 1969. Mart High School is known statewide for its success on the football field, compiling over 700 wins, ranking them in the top 5 in the state and in the top 20 nationally. The North Texas Mean Green football program is the intercollegiate team that represents the University of North Texas in the sport of American football. The Mean Green compete in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the American Athletic Conference. They are coached by Eric Morris, who was hired as the new head coach of the Mean Green on December 13, 2022.
