Lloyd Kenyon, 3rd Baron Kenyon
Lloyd Kenyon, 3rd Baron Kenyon (1 April 1805 – 14 July 1869), was a British peer and Member of Parliament. Kenyon was the son of George Kenyon, 2nd Baron Kenyon, and Margaret Emma Hanmer. His grandfather was Lloyd Kenyon, 1st Baron Kenyon, Master of the Rolls and Lord Chief Justice of England. Kenyon was elected to the House of Commons for the rotten borough of St Michael's (also known as Mitchell) in 1830, a seat he held until 1832, when the constituency was disfranchised by the Reform Act 1832. In 1855 he succeeded his father as third Baron Kenyon and entered the House of Lords. Lord Kenyon married Hon. Georgiana de Grey, daughter of Thomas de Grey, 4th Baron Walsingham Thomas de Grey, 4th Baron Walsingham ( Chelsea 10 April 1778 – Merton, Norfolk, 8 September 1839) was Archdeacon of Winchester from 1807 until 1814; and then of Surrey from 1814 until his death. Baron Kenyon
Baron Kenyon, of Gredington, in the County of Flint, is a title in the Peerage of Great Britain. It was created in 1788 for the lawyer and judge Sir Lloyd Kenyon, 1st Baronet. He served as Master of the Rolls and as Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales. Kenyon had already been created a Baronet, of Gredington in the County of Flint, in 1784. His grandson, the third Baron, briefly represented St Michael's in the House of Commons. His grandson, the fourth Baron, held minor office in the governments of Lord Salisbury, Arthur Balfour and David Lloyd George and also served as Lord Lieutenant of Denbighshire. In 1912 Lord Kenyon assumed by Royal licence the additional surname of Tyrell. the titles are held by his great-grandson, the seventh Baron, who succeeded his father in 2019. William Best, 2nd Baron Wynford
William Samuel Best, 2nd Baron Wynford (19 February 1798 – 28 February 1869), was a British peer. Background Wynford was the son of William Best, 1st Baron Wynford, Chief Justice of the Common Pleas and his wife, Mary Anne, daughter of Jerome Knapp Jr. of Chilton in Berkshire (now Oxfordshire), Clerk of the Haberdashers' Company, by his second wife, Sarah, daughter and eventual heiress of George Noyes of Southcote, Berkshire & Andover. John Heywood Hawkins
John Heywood Hawkins (21 May 1802 – 27 June 1877) was a British politician and barrister. The son of John Hawkins, Hawkins largely grew up at Bignor Park in West Sussex. Hawkins was educated at Eton College, and then at Trinity College, Cambridge, qualifying as a barrister. He had a keen interest in architecture and landscape gardening. Hawkins was the nephew of Christopher Hawkins, who controlled the rotten borough of Mitchell in Cornwall. At the 1830 UK general election, John was elected in Mitchell, but unlike his uncle, he was a Whig, and supported the Great Reform Act. Hawkins lost the Mitchell seat at the 1831 UK general election, but government ministers were keen to retain him, and he won Tavistock Tavistock ( ) is an ancient stannary and market town within West Devon, England. William Leake (died 1852)
William Leake, father (died 1633) and son (died 1681), were London publishers and booksellers of the late sixteenth and the seventeenth centuries. They were responsible for a range of texts in English Renaissance drama and poetry, including works by Shakespeare and Beaumont and Fletcher. Senior William Leake I, or William Leake the elder, started in business as a bookseller around 1586. His shops were at the sign of the Greyhound in Paternoster Row, and at the sign of the Holy Ghost in St. Paul's Churchyard. In 1596 he acquired the rights to Shakespeare's '' Venus and Adonis'' from John Harrison the elder, and published six editions of that very popular poem from 1599 to 1602 in literature (the fifth through tenth editions, or the third octavo edition, O3, through the eighth, O8). Henry Labouchere, 1st Baron Taunton
Henry Labouchere, 1st Baron Taunton, PC (; 15 August 179813 July 1869) was a prominent British Whig and Liberal Party politician of the mid-19th century. Background and education Labouchere was born in Over Stowey, Somerset, into a Huguenot merchant family. His father was Peter Caesar Labouchere and his mother Dorothy Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Francis Baring. He was educated at Winchester College and Christ Church, Oxford, where he took his B.A. (1821) and his M.A. (1828). Political career In 1826, Labouchere became MP for St Michael, as a Whig. In 1830, he moved to the Taunton seat, which he held until 1859. In 1835 he was opposed by Benjamin Disraeli for the Taunton seat; Labouchere won by 452 votes to 282.
