Lloyd House (politician)
Lloyd Lynn House (October 24, 1931 – January 2, 2015) was an American politician. A Navajo and Oneida, he was the first Native American lawmaker in Arizona. He was a member of the Arizona House of Representatives from 1967 to 1968. Chase–Lloyd House
The Chase–Lloyd House is a historic house at 22 Maryland Avenue in Annapolis, Maryland. Built in 1769–1774, it is one of the first brick three-story Georgian mansions to be built in the Thirteen Colonies, and is one of the finest examples of the style. Its interiors were designed by William Buckland. Its construction was started for Samuel Chase, who would later be a signatory to the Declaration of Independence and Associate Justice of the Supreme Court, but Chase sold the building unfinished to Edward Lloyd IV in 1771. Lloyd completed the house in 1774 with assistance from Buckland and another architect, William Noke. The house remained in the Lloyd family until 1847, when it was sold to a relation of Chase. Lloyd–Howe House
Lloyd–Howe House, also known as "Anchors Aweigh" and Clarendon Gardens and Howe House, is a historic home located near Pinehurst, Moore County, North Carolina, United States. It was built in 1929, and consists of a -story main block with a gable roof and one-story wings in an irregular configuration. Its style is a variation of the New England Cape Cod and contains 16 rooms over 5,778 square feet. It is sheathed in stained Georgia cypress weatherboards and has chimneys, flues and two terraces built of local bluish-brown Carthage stone. Joseph Lloyd House
The Joseph Lloyd Manor house is a historical site and Literary Landmark located in Lloyd Harbor, Suffolk County New York. The house was built between 1766 and 1767 on the Manor of Queens Village, a 3,000-acre provisioning plantation established in the late 17th century on the ancestral lands of the Matinecock Nation. The entire estate encompassed all of what is known today as Lloyd Neck. The house was built for Joseph Lloyd (1716–1780) and remained in the Lloyd family for a century before being sold in 1876. It is most significant today for being where Jupiter Hammon (1711–before 1806), the first published Black American poet, was enslaved by the Lloyd family and authored his best-known works. Lloyd Hotel
Lloyd Hotel is a hotel housed in a historic building in the Eastern Docklands of Amsterdam, commissioned by the Royal Holland Lloyd (Koninklijke Hollandsche Lloyd). Founded as a hotel, it initially housed travelling immigrants. Later, it was used as a detention centre and was also home to artists' studios. It is an official national monument of the Netherlands. History The building was established in 1918 in the eclectic style, designed by architect Evert Breman, commissioned by the Royal Holland Lloyd (KHL). The KHL did use the hotel as advertising, to recruit clients for passengers heading to South America. When it was completed on June 1, 1921, it had cost eight times more than originally estimated, contributing to the subsequent bankruptcy of the KHL. The Wayside, also known as the Henry Demarest Lloyd House, is a historic house at 830 Sheridan Road in Winnetka, Illinois, United States.
