Llotja (, plural ); in an, loncha; in es, lonja; is a Catalan term for important buildings used for commercial purpose during the Middle Ages and Early Modern period, Early Modern Ages. Many were used during the Medieval Ages for fishing and livestock markets or by brokers who used to make intermediaries. A World Heritage Site is a landmark or area with legal protection by an international convention administered by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The Royal Alcázars of Seville ( es, Reales Alcázares de Sevilla), historically known as al-Qasr al-Muriq (, ''The Verdant Palace'') and commonly known as the Alcázar of Seville (), is a royal palace in Seville, Spain, built for the Christian king Peter of Castile.
