Ljunghusen Golf Club
Ljunghusen Golf Club is a links golf club located in Höllviken, Skåne County in Sweden. It has hosted the PLM Open on the European Tour. History The club is located on Sweden's southern tip, along the Baltic Sea. Its first six holes were built in 1932 and by 1965 the club was the first in Scandinavia to feature 27 holes. It is one of few links courses in Sweden and is repeatedly ranked one of the best courses in the country. The club has hosted the PLM Open on the European Tour as well as the Telia Grand Prix on the Challenge Tour. It has also hosted many amateur tournaments such as the 1977 Vagliano Trophy and the European Amateur Team Championship in 2001 and 2019. Höllviken
Höllviken (old da, Hulvigen) is a locality situated in Vellinge Municipality, Skåne County, Sweden with 15.678 inhabitants in 2019. It is located close to both Malmö and the Øresund Bridge which connects Sweden and Denmark. The town is a popular summer vacation spot for northern Europeans, who are attracted to its sand beaches and the historical sites which date back to the time of the Vikings. The peninsula on which the town is situated is unique because it is surrounded by two different seas: Öresund and The Baltic Sea. Prior to the 1960s, the peninsula remained mainly populated by wealthy businessmen from the Malmö region during the summers. Recently, however, it has begun to grow as a commuter town. The 1997 Challenge Tour was the ninth season of the Challenge Tour, the official development tour to the European Tour. The tour started as the Satellite Tour with its first Order of Merit rankings in 1989 and was officially renamed as the Challenge Tour at the start of the 1990 season. The Challenge Tour Rankings were won by Italy's Michele Reale. Schedule The following table lists official events during the 1997 season. Isabella Deilert
Isabella Deilert (born 5 June 1994) is a Swedish professional golfer playing on the Ladies European Tour. She won the 2010 European Young Masters. In 2022 and 2023, she was runner-up in team events of the Aramco Team Series. Family and early years Deilert was born 1994 in Stockholm to Gladys Dias Repetto from Peru and Arne Deilert, a Swedish professional golfer. She competed in bandy, a form of hockey, and was a member of the Swedish National Team before focusing on golf. Her brother Alexander Deilert was an accomplished junior golfer and is a professional ice hockey player, drafted by the Calgary Flames in 2008. Career Deilert was selected to play for the Swedish National team in 2010. SM Match Play
The Swedish Match Play Championship is a golf tournament played since 1904, held for both men and women. It is the oldest and most traditional golf tournament in Sweden. The name SM is shortening in Swedish language for "Svenska Mästerskapet" (the Swedish Championship). History From the first tournament in 1904 (for men) and 1911 (for women) until 1983, it was an amateur tournament, from 1910 open only for Swedish citizens, and the winner was the official Swedish champion. Since 1984, except 1985, the tournament has been open to both amateurs and professionals and for foreign citizens. The Swedish Golf Tour Final, currently titled as The No. 1 Tour Final in Golf, is a golf tournament played as the season-ending championship of the Swedish Golf Tour. The Tour Final was introduced in the 2005 season, succeeding the Telia Grand Prix, a Challenge Tour event that had served as the season ending event for most years since 1996.
