Liz Halliday-Sharp
Elisabeth Halliday (born December 14, 1978) is an American equestrian, race-car driver and commentator. She was born in San Diego, California, and currently lives in Lexington, Kentucky. Before becoming a full-time equestrian, Halliday was the most successful female driver in the American Le Mans Series with six victories. Halliday has stated that her ambition is to become the first woman to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans race and to earn a spot on the United States Equestrian Team. Halliday was scheduled to make her Olympic debut in equestrian at the 2020 Summer Olympics, but was withdrawn with less than a month to go following a minor injury to her horse. 2006 12 Hours Of Sebring
The 2006 12 Hours of Sebring was the 54th running of this event, and took place on March 18, 2006. The race was sponsored by Mobil 1 and was the opening race of the 2006 American Le Mans Series season run by IMSA. This race marked the first time that a diesel powered racing vehicle had won a major endurance sports car race, with Audi taking the victory in their new R10 TDI sportscar, which was also the car's first race ever. However the win was not without problems, as one of the two Audi R10s suffered overheating problems and did not finish. This victory would be a building block towards the diesel R10 winning the marquis ACO event the 2006 24 Hours of Le Mans and taking 36 class wins in 48 career races entered. The 75th 24 Hours of Le Mans (French: ''75e 24 Heures du Mans'') was a 24-hour automobile endurance race for Le Mans Prototype and Grand Touring cars, which took place at the Circuit de la Sarthe, near Le Mans, France, from 16 to 17 June 2007. Croft Circuit is a motor racing circuit located near Dalton-on-Tees in North Yorkshire, England. The tarmac circuit is long and is based on the lands of an airfield, but has long since moved on from being a basic airfield circuit.
