Liz Chandler
Liz Chandler (formerly Courtney, DiMera, Craig, and Curtis) is a fictional character on the soap opera, ''Days of Our Lives'', and was played by actress Gloria Loring from 1980 to 1986. Storylines Liz came to Salem in 1980. She is the daughter of Kellam Chandler, the former governor of the state in which Salem is situated. She is also a singer, and was the headlining cabaret act at Salem's nightclub Doug's Place owned by Doug Williams and Neil Curtis. Gloria Loring-Lagler (born Gloria Jean Goff; December 10, 1946) is an American singer and actress. She is known for playing Liz Chandler on ''Days of Our Lives'' for six years (1980–86). She and singer-actor Carl Anderson performed the duet " Friends and Lovers," which reached number two on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart in 1986. Early life Gloria Jean Goff was born in New York City, the daughter of Dorothy Ann (née Tobin), a singer, and Gerald "Buzzy" Lewis Goff, a professional trumpet player with the Tommy Dorsey big band as well as other renowned swing groups; a salesman and hospitality/restaurant industry consultant. Betty Corday (born Elizabeth Shay; March 21, 1912 – November 17, 1987) was a Broadway dramatic actress and long-time American television producer. Al Rabin (January 26, 1936 – August 14, 2012) was a producer of soap operas, specifically known for his work on ''Days of Our Lives''. Rabin served in multiple capacities in his sixteen years at ''Days'', first as a director and then as a supervising executive producer to Mrs. Ted Corday, and from 1985 to 1992 as a co-executive producer. Tony DiMera is a fictional character from the American soap opera ''Days of Our Lives'', played by actor Thaao Penghlis on and off from November 6, 1981, until October 24, 1985, and from July 19, 2007, until April 1, 2009.
