Lixian, Beijing
Lixian Town () is a town in the southeastern side of Daxing District, Beijing, China. It shares border with Weishanzhuang and Anding Towns in the north, Wanzhuang and Jiuzhou Towns in the east, Yufa Town in the southwest, and Panggezhuang Town in the northwest. In 2020, it had a total population of 40,930. The name of this town corresponds to Lixianguan (), which was built in the area by King Zhao of Yan during Spring and Autumn period. Daxing District
Daxing District () is a district of Beijing, covering the southern suburbs of the city. It borders the Beijing districts of Tongzhou to the east/northeast, Fangshan to the west, Fengtai to the northwest, Chaoyang to the northeast, and the Hebei province to the south. History The Daxing Massacre of August 27-31, 1966 during the Cultural Revolution resulted in the deaths of at least 325 people, ranging in age from 38 days to 80 years. Daxing District was upgraded from a county to a district with the approval from the State Council on April 30, 2001. Covering an area of with a population of 671,444, Panggezhuang in Daxing is famous for its watermelons. Li County or Lixian is an administrative division of the prefecture-level city of Longnan in southeastern Gansu, a northwestern province of China.
