Livoberezhnyi Masyv
Livoberezhnyi Masyv ( uk, Лівобережний масив) or commonly known as Livoberezhna ( uk, Лівобережна) is a residential neighborhood of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. The neighborhood is administratively a part of the Dnipro Raion, and is located on the city's left bank (which it is named for). The neighborhood is surrounded by the Dnipro River to its west, Darnytsia to its north and east, Berezniaky to its southeast, and Rusanivka to its south. It was created in the 1960s-1970s on the territory of the Mykilska Slobidka, a former settlement on the outskirts of Kyiv. Transport The Livoberezhnyi neighborhood is serviced by the Livoberezhna station of the Kyiv Metro's Sviatoshynsko-Brovarska Line, where a number of city busses and marshrutkas connect. In addition, the Kyiv Urban Electric Train has a flag stop located in walking distance from the metro station. Left-bank Ukraine ( uk, Лівобережна Україна, translit=Livoberezhna Ukrayina; russian: Левобережная Украина, translit=Levoberezhnaya Ukraina; pl, Lewobrzeżna Ukraina) is a historic name of the part of Ukraine on the left (east) bank of the Dnieper River, comprising the modern-day oblasts of Chernihiv, Poltava and Sumy as well as the eastern parts of Kyiv and Cherkasy. History The term appeared in 1663 with the election of Ivan Bryukhovetsky as the hetman of Ukraine in opposition to Pavlo Teteria. Bryukhovetsky was the first known "left-bank Ukraine" hetman over the area that was under the Russian influence. Up until the mid-17th century, the area had belonged to the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. The Treaty of Pereyaslav of 1654 saw the region tentatively come under Russian control, when local Cossack leaders swore allegiance to the Russian monarchy in exchange for military protection. Livoberezhna (Kyiv Metro)
Livoberezhna ( uk, Лівобережна, ) is a station on the Kyiv Metro's Sviatoshynsko-Brovarska Line.The station was opened on 5 November 1965, as part of the eastward expansion of the Brovary radius and is the first one to be fully on the left bank of the Dnieper River (hence its name). The station is situated at a junction between the Brovary Avenue and the Rayisa Okipna Street, and is actually above ground level with the platform being on the flyover. Two vestibules are on ground level with exits on the southern side of the station. Thereby passengers have to ascend to reach the Metro. Livoberezhna Line (Kyiv Metro)
Livoberezhna line ( uk, Лівобережна лінія; literally ''left bank line'') was a proposed fifth metro line of the Kyiv Metro system, which was planned to serve the left bank neighborhoods of the Ukrainian capital Kyiv. The line is typically colored sky blue on the maps. The line was proposed to have a transfer station with metro lines which would connect them to the city's right bank, including the Livoberezhna station of the Sviatoshynsko–Brovarska line and a future undecided station of the Podilsko–Vyhurivska line which is currently under construction. The line was also to have featured connections with existing intercity railway stations.
