Live On Tape
''Live on Tape'' is a late night comedy sketch show that aired on Saturday nights at 10pm on KLJB-TV in Davenport, Iowa from 1987 to 1989, and repeated through 1990. It was the only locally produced entertainment show at that time in the Quad Cities area. ''Live on Tape'' was a locally produced, low budget show, featuring characters such as E.J. Crackerhorn, Arnie Upshoe, Guy Newswarthy, Uncle Joey, Nosey, Clive Knobfinder, Zippy Spamhammer, Bongo the Exploding Clown, and plenty more. KLJB
KLJB (channel 18) is a television station licensed to Davenport, Iowa, United States, serving as the Fox affiliate for the Quad Cities area. It is owned by Mission Broadcasting, which maintains a shared services agreement (SSA) with Nexstar Media Group, owner of Rock Island, Illinois–licensed CBS affiliate WHBF-TV (channel 4) and Burlington, Iowa–licensed CW owned-and-operated station KGCW (channel 26), for the provision of certain services. The stations share studios in the Telco Building on 18th Street in downtown Rock Island, while KLJB's transmitter is located near Orion, Illinois. Davenport is a city in and the county seat of Scott County, Iowa, United States. Located along the Mississippi River on the eastern border of the state, it is the largest of the Quad Cities, a metropolitan area with a population of 384,324 and a combined statistical area population of 474,019, ranking as the 147th-largest MSA and 91st-largest CSA in the nation. Mallo Cup
Mallo Cups are an American coconut-laced milk chocolate cup that contains a whipped marshmallow center invented in 1936 by Boyer. History Brothers Bill and Bob Boyer began with production of candies such as fudge and nut clusters in 1936 in their own kitchen as a means of supplementing income during the Great Depression. The candy was wrapped by their mother and sister and the brothers sold the candy door to door. Eventually, production moved to a manufacturing facility and they began experimenting with chocolate, thus resulting in creating the Mallo Cup. In November 2010, Boyer introduced a dark chocolate version of the Mallo Cup.
