Live Sessions (Bonobo EP)
''Live Sessions'' is an extended play by Bonobo (musician), Bonobo. Four Bonobo classics ("Noctuary", "Dismantling Frank", "The Plug", and "Nothing Owed") have been taken out of the laptop/sampler and reconstructed with live bass, drums, saxophone, keys, cello, guitars and electronics. "Recurring" is a brand new studio track recorded on the fly in this session. The extended play is rounded out by Four Tet's remix of "Pick Up". Bonobo (musician)
Simon Green (born 30 March 1976), known by his stage name Bonobo, is a British musician, producer, and DJ based in Los Angeles. He debuted with a trip hop aesthetic, and has since explored more upbeat approaches as well as jazz and world music influences. His tranquil electronic music, electronic sound incorporates the use of organic instrumentation, and is recreated by a full band in live performances. Music career 1999–2009 Green debuted in 1999 on the Tru Thoughts compilation ''When Shapes Join Together''. His stage name Bonobo is a reference to the Bonobo chimpanzee species. Following the releases of the Extended play, EP ''Scuba'', released on Brighton based label Fly Casual Recordings, and the single "Terrapin", Bonobo was offered label deals with XL Recordings, XL recordings and Mute Records, Mute records, but he chose to remain in Tru Thoughts. Ninja Tune
Ninja Tune is an English independent record label based in London. It has a satellite office in Los Angeles. It was founded by Matt Black and Jonathan More (better known as Coldcut) and managed by Peter Quicke and others. Inspired by a visit to Japan, Black and More created Ninja Tune in 1990 as a means to escape the creative control of major labels, and as a vehicle to release music of an underground nature, free from the constraints they experienced in their brief stints with Arista and Big Life. The label has been called "visionary" and "reliably excellent". It has signed a diverse range of artists, has created its own publishing company, Just Isn't Music, and finds innovative uses of software. AllMusic (previously known as All Music Guide and AMG) is an American online music database. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Four Tet
Kieran Hebden (born September 1977), known as Four Tet, is an English electronic musician. He came to prominence as a member of the post-rock band Fridge before establishing himself as a solo artist with charting UK albums such as '' Rounds'' (2003) and ''Everything Ecstatic'' (2005). In addition to his eleven studio albums as Four Tet, Hebden's work includes a number of improvisational works with jazz drummer Steve Reid and collaborations with Burial and Thom Yorke. Alongside his own recordings, Hebden has produced albums by American improvisational group Sunburned Hand of the Man and Syrian dabke singer Omar Souleyman, and arranged the 2021 Madlib album ''Sound Ancestors''. A remix (or reorchestration) is a piece of media which has been altered or contorted from its original state by adding, removing, or changing pieces of the item. Bonobo (musician) EPs
The bonobo (; ''Pan paniscus''), also historically called the pygmy chimpanzee (less often the dwarf chimpanzee or gracile chimpanzee), is an endangered great ape and one of the two species making up the genus '' Pan'' (the other being the common chimpanzee, ''Pan troglodytes'').
