''Live In Austin, TX'' is the first live album by American rock duo The Black Keys. It was published as an electronic for podcast by Austin, Texas based Jumper Productions. This is derived from the 10,000 piece limited Thickfreakness In Austin music DVD-video released by the same company on September 7, 2004. Unlike the edited version available on the DVD, this audio version is full-length. The concert was recorded on October 24, 2003 at Austin's Emo's as part of the ''Thickfreakness'' U.S. tour. Near the end of "Them Eyes" a young woman from the audience suddenly climbed on stage and started to dance near the performers. Quickly after the song's ending, guitarist Dan Auerbach switched roles from guitarist to lighthearted bouncer; he asked her off the stage with a quip "Hey girl, you play bass? What's up?". Patrick Carney
Patrick James Carney (born April 15, 1980) is an American musician and producer best known as the drummer of the Black Keys, a blues rock band from Akron, Ohio. Early life Carney's father, Jim, is a retired reporter for the '' Akron Beacon Journal'' and a music lover whom Carney credits with introducing him to various genres. His mother, Mary Stormer, is the traffic and parking supervisor for the Akron Municipal Clerk of Courts and is a former member of the Akron Board of Education. Carney has three brothers, William, who is an Amtrak supervisor; Michael, a graphic artist who created the art for each of the Black Keys' albums until he handed over the reigns for Dropout Boogie; and Barry Stormer Jr., who is an investment banker. Have Love Will Travel
"Have Love, Will Travel" is a 1959 song written and recorded by Richard Berry. While the song may have been recorded before the end of 1959, the correct release date appears to be January, 1960. The title is based on a popular television/radio western serial '' Have Gun, Will Travel''. The Sonics version In its best known incarnation, garage-rock protopunkers, The Sonics, included the song on their 1965 album, ''Here Are The Sonics''. Driven by a riff doubled on guitar, sax and bass, a big driving drum sound, screaming vocals and a saxophone break, it epitomized their sound. Daniel Quine Auerbach (; born May 14, 1979) is an American musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer, best known as the guitarist and vocalist of The Black Keys, a blues rock band from Akron, Ohio. Emo's
Emo's, formerly known as The Back Room, is a music and event venue located in Austin, Texas. Emo's got its start as a Houston punk club in 1989, with the Austin location opening in 1992. The Houston location closed its doors in September 2001. The nightclub is an official South by Southwest Music Festival venue, during which it consists of four stages. The annual Emissions from the Monolith festival relocated to Emo's in 2007. The club closed in December 2011 for reasons unknown, however in September of that same year, a new venue opened up on East Riverside, on the site of the old Back Room venue.
