''Live from London'' is a concert film by the British group, Duran Duran. It was filmed during the course of the last two of five sold-out nights at Wembley Arena in April 2004, during the band's first global tour after the reunion of the band's original five members. The concert features hits from their 25-year catalog, together with live versions of the singles from their 2004 studio album '' Astronaut''. The band was joined on stage by saxophonist Andy Hamilton and backing vocalist Sarah Brown. ''Live from London'' is sold as a single-DVD set and also as a Deluxe DVD+CD box set, which features 20 songs on the DVD and 10 songs on the CD. Bonus features in the Deluxe set include a tour documentary, multi-angled viewing options, photo gallery, interviews, and behind the scenes footage. It was certified gold by the RIAA on 9 March 2006. Duran Duran
Duran Duran () are an English rock band formed in Birmingham in 1978 by singer and bassist Stephen Duffy, keyboardist Nick Rhodes and guitarist/bassist John Taylor. With the addition of drummer Roger Taylor the following year the band went through numerous personnel changes before May 1980, when they settled on their most famous line-up by adding guitarist Andy Taylor and lead vocalist Simon Le Bon. When Duran Duran emerged they were generally considered part of the New Romantic scene. Innovators of the music video, Duran Duran were catapulted into the mainstream with the introduction of the 24-hour music channel MTV. The group was a leading band in the MTV-driven Second British Invasion of the US in the 1980s. "The Wild Boys" is the twelfth single by English new wave band Duran Duran, released on 26 October 1984 in the United Kingdom. The song was the only studio track on the band's live album ''Arena'' (1984), and was produced by Nile Rodgers, who had previously remixed the band's previous single "The Reflex". It was recorded at the end of July 1984 at Maison Rouge Studios in London. Background The idea for the song came from longtime Duran Duran video director Russell Mulcahy, who wanted to make a full-length feature film based on the surreal and sexual 1971 novel '' The Wild Boys: A Book of the Dead'' by William S. "Careless Memories" is the second single by Duran Duran, released on 20 April 1981. The band's debut single "Planet Earth (Duran Duran song), Planet Earth" had been a Top 20 hit, so it was regarded as a major setback when "Careless Memories" stalled at No. 37 in the UK charts, particularly as it was to herald the June release of the debut album ''Duran Duran (1981 album), Duran Duran''. It has since come to light that the decision to release the single was not the band's but EMI's. After its failure, executives decided to let Duran Duran choose their own single releases. "The Reflex" is the eleventh single by English new wave band Duran Duran, released in 1984. The song was heavily remixed for single release and was the third and last to be taken from their third studio album '' Seven and the Ragged Tiger'' (1983).
