''Live from Austin, Texas'' is a live album released by rock musician David Byrne, released on New West Records on October 2, 2007 on CD and DVD. The songs were recorded during Byrne's 2001 tour in support of '' Look into the Eyeball'' at a date for the KLRU television show ''Austin City Limits.'' Except for the first 4 songs the quartet was accompanied by the Austin-based tango string sextet Tosca. Jerry Harrison
Jeremiah Griffin Harrison (born February 21, 1949) is an American songwriter, musician, producer, and entrepreneur. He began his professional music career as a member of the cult band the Modern Lovers before becoming keyboardist and guitarist for the new wave band Talking Heads. In 2002, Harrison was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Talking Heads. Since Talking Heads went on indefinite hiatus in 1991, Harrison has focused more on producing other bands, a role he started while still with Talking Heads, beginning with the Violent Femmes third album ''The Blind Leading the Naked'' in 1986. During the 1990s, he produced a number of hit albums for bands such as Live, The Verve Pipe, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd among others. Mauro Refosco
Mauro Refosco is a Brazilian percussionist. He is best known for working with singer David Byrne and as the former touring and session percussionist for the American rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers. He is a member of the experimental supergroup Atoms for Peace – featuring Thom Yorke and Flea – and the forró band Forro in the Dark. Refosco was also briefly a member of Dirty Projectors. Guitar
The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. "Life During Wartime" is a song by the American new wave band Talking Heads, released as the first single from their 1979 album ''Fear of Music''. "Like Humans Do" is the fourth track from David Byrne's '' Look into the Eyeball'' and was also released as a single in 2001. Most notably, the radio edit version of the song (which omits the line referring to cannabis) was selected by Microsoft as the sample music for Windows XP to demonstrate the new Windows Media Player, though it was only included in early releases of the operating system.
