CPR (band)
CPR (also billed as Crosby, Pevar & Raymond) was a jazz-rock band consisting of the late singer-songwriter David Crosby (a founding member of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young), session guitarist Jeff Pevar, and Crosby's son, keyboardist James Raymond. The first song that Crosby and Raymond co-wrote, "Morrison", was performed live for the first time in January 1997. The song recalled Crosby's ambivalent feelings about the portrayal of Jim Morrison in Oliver Stone's ''The Doors'' (1991). The success of the band's initial 1997 tour spawned a studio album, ''CPR'', which was released in March 1998. Following another studio album, '' Just Like Gravity,'' in 2001, and several successful tours, the group disbanded in 2004. Paul Dieter (born May 23, 1959) is an American sound engineer and record producer. He has been the staff engineer at Groove Masters, the Santa Monica, California recording studio owned by Jackson Browne, since 1990. Dieter's first major job was as an audio engineer on tour with 10,000 Maniacs from 1985 to 1987, and he has since worked as an audio engineer on various projects with Linda Ronstadt, David Lindley, Fleetwood Mac, and David Crosby. Graham William Nash (born 2 February 1942) is an English musician, singer, songwriter, photographer, and activist. He is known for his light tenor voice and for his contributions as a member of the Hollies and the supergroups Crosby, Stills & Nash and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Jeff Pevar is an American musician who has recorded and toured with numerous renowned artists as well as having a solo career. Pevar recorded a debut record on his label Pet Peev Music™, called ''From The Core'', which was released in December 2012.
