''Live at the Greek Theatre 2008'' is a live and video album released by Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band in 2010. Overview It is one of few albums with the All-Starr Band that Ringo Starr has released on a major label, this one being released on Universal Music Group, as well as his 2008 studio album ''Liverpool 8'', which was released under Capitol Records. News of the album was originally revealed on the Beatles' official website as well as Starr's official website. Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band is a live rock music, rock Supergroup (music), supergroup founded in 1989 with shifting personnel, led by former The Beatles, Beatles drummer and vocalist Ringo Starr. History and description Since 1989, Starr has toured with fourteen variations of the band, where "everybody on stage is a star in their own right". Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band is a concept that was created by producer David Fishof. "I Wanna Be Your Man" is a Lennon–McCartney-penned song first recorded and released as a single by the Rolling Stones, and then recorded by the Beatles. The song was primarily written by Paul McCartney, and finished by Lennon and McCartney in the corner of a Richmond club while Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were talking. "Never Without You" is a tribute song from Ringo Starr to his former Beatles bandmate George Harrison, who died on 29 November 2001. The recording appeared on Starr's 2003 album ''Ringo Rama'', and was also released as a single. History "Never Without You" was co-written by Starr, Mark Hudson and Gary Nicholson. Luther Dixon (August 7, 1931 – October 22, 2009) was an American songwriter, record producer, and singer. Dixon's songs achieved their greatest success in the 1950s and 1960s, and were recorded by Elvis Presley, the Beatles, the Jackson 5, B.B. King, Jerry Lee Lewis, Dusty Springfield, Jimmy Reed and others. As a producer, Dixon helped create the signature sound of the girl group the Shirelles.
