Liv Monica Stubholt
Liv Monica Bargem Stubholt (born 24 July 1961) is a Norwegian lawyer and former politician for the Norwegian Centre Party. She currently serves as a partner in law firm Selmer AS and former industry executive as Senior Vice President Strategy and Communication in Kvaerner ASA - a listed EPC company in the petroleum industry. Education Stubholt graduated as cand.jur. from the University of Oslo in 1987. State Secretary (Norway)
In Norway, a state secretary ( no, statssekretær) is a partisan political position within the executive branch of government. Contrary to the position secretary of state in many other countries, a Norwegian state secretary does not head his or her ministry, rather, they are second in rank to a minister. Resembling a ''de facto'' vice minister, the state secretary, however, cannot attend a Council of State, and does not act as a temporary minister in case of illness or other leave of absence. Modern use The modern state secretary institution was established in 1947, following a 78-41 vote in the Norwegian Parliament. Stoltenberg's Second Cabinet was the Government of Norway from 17 October 2005 to 16 October 2013. It was a coalition between the Labour Party, the Socialist Left Party and the Centre Party, known as the Red–Green Coalition. On 9 September 2013, the coalition was defeated in the 2013 election. The cabinet had ten members from the Labour Party, five from the Socialist Left Party and four from the Centre Party.
